Ford Mustang Starter Upgrade

This is how to properly upgrade your starter. Early Ford starters are very weak. Fortunately for us there are upgraded starters that will last a lot longer. This video will show you how to install and upgrade at the starter for long-lasting performance.

You should mention that the Powermaster starter you are installing is different than most because it allows you to rotate (re:clock) the starter angle for best fit of your application and that not every starter does this. Also it’s worth mentioning that your original starter was just the motor; the solenoid was mounted on the inner fender. The new starter contains the motor and a solenoid, so you can bypass your original solenoid.

Why put a relay on it?? you do know that thing you're connecting the cable to on the starter is a starter solenoid. All you have to do is extend your small 12v wire from the key to the small terminal on the solenoid located on the starter. And where your old solenoid was on the fender you put a bus terminal there. And you can connect your battery cable and your other connections and the large cable from your starter there. The bus is so you don't have to extend any other wires from the stock location.

can you do a tutorial for a PMGR starter on a early silenoid?

would this work with a 2003 mustang? I mounted the battery in the trunk and plan on a soldnoid in the rear.
