I started this event with all 3‘s and did bot slowing the whole event. But this will not help in 13.1. I then added the 2 motor upgrades and had to lose 13.1 around 10 times to reach 219.0 as 1st place speed. Then it was easy - I never use assists. BUT: I do not recommend to run this LTS if you already have the Toyota. The Ford will not give any benefit, but will cost you nearly 300 GC - and you may buy it with M$ later on.

Either it's an other mistake made by Slingshot (not the 1st one unfortunately) or it's jsut a way to get back what they "offered" for the bugs in the last update (as most of us were unable to paraticipate to some events). Time limited series should only require one to upgrade to the required pr, in the cheapest possible way. A race like this should not occur. Even for a really good player it was near impossible and very time consuming, and I can imagine it was quite frustrating as well

Wished I hadn't started the event at all. Purchased all 3's upgrades right at the start only to realise later what crappy mistake the devs have done in 13.1 speed record. Generally I just restore backup to erase my progress & get back the gold and just skip the event in such cases. This time I couldn't do that because half way through the event, the game automatically saved the data. Had to complete that race with 5333333 upgrades. Hope the devs realise their mistake & compensate everyone affected with atleast a 100 gold for extra upgrades & wasting time on bot slowing with multiple re-tries.

I also added the engine upgrades to get through 13.1 after doing a lot of bot slowing. It was extremely frustrating and I wasn't thrilled to have to lay out extra gold for the upgrade. Had I realized this at the beginning, I would have skipped the event since you don't need it to advance in a series and it doesn't have an Exclusive series.

Awesome to know i had the same atrategy as you😅😅i remembered in one of your recommended/required PR events that you did a long time ago that we omce faced a difficult speed target and you showed us that there's a grassy area at COTA that is coded as on track so i had to do a couple of trial and error trying to figure it out where is that exact spot (i forgot the exact spot) and so I passed by tying the top speed. I literally tied it and i was soooo happy bcz this was soo brutal it was giving stage 6 recommended PR difficulty 😭😭

I noticed the Toyota, which preceded this car in this series has a much higher top speed at all 3’s. This speed run would suit the Toyota but unfortunately the Ford, for me, is 3 miles off the pace and has no chance of hitting target. Even with your chicanery. The puma is just not fast enough…..

After about 2 hours of being the "perfect loser" I couldn't slow the bots down below 219.60 kph. My car was at 3333333 and I upgraded it to 4333333 and I was able to beat stage 13.1. How? The trick was going down the straight in the opposite direction, starting on the grass next to the curve where @ME7 finished. On the first attempt I did 219.56 kph and on the third attempt 219.67 kph

I recommend bot slowing on the endurance event right next to this one. you can just put your phone on your desk slightly tilted and click retry every 2 minutes while working on something IRL. You do much more retries with a single car repair and its faster. (bot slowing requires your condition to be in the green)

That’s good to hear if this still works. For a while there it wouldn’t work. Meaning you would restart the race and the distances would stay exactly the same. Then you had to drive a few car lengths to register a distance before it would lower the targets. It’s been years since I tried it so I’ll test that again in the future.

you can actually pass it by lining the car before the hill because the ford has good traction. of course you need the upgrades but if you go in reverse at the start and line up in the exterior kerbs of the corner that brings you back into the full layout, the one before the esses, and have some precision with the grip in the car, it is posible to do it and without weaving because of the speed you gain downhill

Added two more engine upgrades from the recommended max PR and made it through just! I did turn off brake assist for this event. I basically have to drive with assists as I only have the use of one hand. It was a challenge but can be done.

You can reverse the entire race and it’ll count the speed record as 0.00 mph. Quite useful info for bot slowing.

That does work. Just so you know, it’s a waste of time. You just need to be below the 7th place speed for maximum impact. That’s the lowest you can place in this race. Driving backwards for the entire race takes way too long.

I tried with all 3's, and even got bots to slow down to 219.7kph, but It's still impossible. I have no idea how ME7 got to 220, max i could hit was 218.5/6. The cheapest upgrades to win this event is 533133 (for average players ± assists). But if you have already upgraded to all 3's, which will be the case by the time you reach 13.1, then just put the drive train upgrade. 3433333 is enough. No need to put two engine upgrades. It will still cost you same amount of gold, but you will save on M$. (I know it's not that valuable resources for most people, but it will help those who are short on M$.. or if you don't want to waste one extra day farming it back.)

I've held off on buying the two extra engine upgrades as I still have a day to complete race 13.1 with all 3s. My bots are slowed down to where the fastest has 219.6 km/h, which I've found impossible to reach, so far. I've tried to slow my bots further, but it seems tto have no effect running races for which I've already got a gold trophy. Hello, I passed with my car which is IP 56,5. After several trials to my set up, I "just" added +1 to engine and +1 to transmission, to the set up I had before this race. I finaly have a car customized like that : 6, 2, 4, 3, 3, 2, 2 and there's no problem to pass it with more than 222km/h ("more" doesn't mean 228 km/h, it means 222,05 or 222,2, something like that, I didn't write the figure). And I'm not a very good player 😛

I can barely hit 217 no matter what I try. I farmed bots until I got 2.5km for 1st place in the endurance and then tried grinding on this race again. 1st place wouldn't budge lower than 219.6. I regularly hit group b even with 21/28 upgrades

Game changers like ME7 are harder needed than ever before. Already started with 7*3. It`s an LTS what can possibly go wrong. So with those amounts of strategy needed I`m just simply going to wait till the game changer has finished the event. As a regular WTT B player I can afford the 75 gold extra, although I already would skip the McLaren Artura sale later this month. But how do new players cope with this? If they find the wiki page, we try to educate the new players that LTS are the best way to get into get more cars. Recommended PR events are mostly way to hard for the average player. If the LTS also requires lots and lots of strategy how do you expect the average to keep playing, when it does cost them an arm and a leg. There are better games to play casually for less money. So to the developers, don`t be dicks and secure your job by giving the average player also a change to win new cars.

I don’t know what they’ll do. It’s impossible if you use assists, which the average player does. Technically it is possible, but this is clearly different. You have to know some tricks. Even then, you must drive right into the wall, which is not normal for these events. I made this to show them the problem. I don’t know when they’ll see it, I have sent it to them at this point. I’ll be surprised if they do anything about it. I’m hoping this won’t be a problem going forward.

@demonizer1202 it’s what they call “back end” changes, non-player related things. There were also some minor changes to the App Store. Apparently some players will see a new tile on the home screen. I have no information about it. Apparently it does the same function, but just looks a little bit different. I don’t know why they called it a .5 update. That used to be reserved from major changes. In fact that used to be reserved for an update that only had 4 weeks of content. I’m still pushing them pretty hard on this issue of this event. Myself another creator network people used to be considered experts by EA. Meaning of we said something wasn’t impossible, they knew it was true. I’m being patient, trying to build a new relationship, but my patience is wearing thin
