Ford radio hidden tests

How to retrieve some software numbers and self test some 2005-2012 ford radio CD player. No configurations through this menu but would have been great if it was user configurable. Might have to reflash to configure it. There are some aftermarket devices that add AUX function to these radios. But I tried to play with the factory stuff first. Might just use a Bluetooth FM transmitter as they're cheap.

Fault that came up on my radio was audio button acting up. Might have triggered the DTC while playing with the buttons.

I have the 07 Harley F-150 and its the premium audiophile system and the line in does not work. It jus shows sat 1 2 and 3 with a 183 number above when the aux cable is plugged in with a old ipod touch i have. I also tried my iphone but same thing

I have a 07 Ford Fusion and the plug in for the aux cord is in the middle Consol next to the charger outlet.

Unfortunately 2006 never got that plug.

I dont know about his car, but my car has a factory installed aux port in the compartment under the arm rest

I saw a post from someone who said when you are pillaging the input jacks you should get the stereo too. The input jacks will not communicate to yours if your vehicle didn’t come with the option. Even if you have the aux option on the stereo. It still will not work. Stereo flash may work I’m not familiar with that. Hope this helps

I got the satellite radio module and used the audio input from the satellite radio and was able to get the input to work in satellite radio mode.

Said there's only 3 Sats, well that's so you can program 6 presets each for a total of 18. There's 2 FM's as well so you program 6 presets for each. Also saw it said "ANTENNA FAIL" so guessing you don't have a satellite radio antenna hooked in?

That's correct, was just using module to get it work in aux mode. Should have just used a newer factory radio. Upgraded to a touch screen in it before sending it to another owner.

I have the same radio and I was messing with my bass and it now will not turn up but it will turn down, I also tried using seek and that didnt work. Also the treble is having the same issue

I figured it out on another video I made. For all the trouble, I think I'd snag a premium radio from the junkyard if I'd do it again or spend $50 on a eBay special touch screen radio.

Yes. I made another video. I needed the SAT radio module. Only way it would work. I got it at a junk yard for a few bucks. eBay and after market sells adapter so you can use it also. You could also just upgrade radio to a premium model one or after market unit.
