Yo i have a 93 ford ranger v6 4.0 And im going to swap a 5.0 in from a nice 92 f150 . I want to swap the rear axel so i can i can super over load it.

That’s the same motor mine is from 87-92 ford truck, it’s a harder motor to work with, if you are going carb you should be fine though, definitely change out the oil pan with a lower profile rear sump pan, like a foxbody rear sump. I didn’t and the pan dips down really close to my axle diff, but if it’s a tow or street rod it’s doable if you play with engine position, otherwise it will not clear a 4x4 version engine crossmember, not positive on if it clear a 2 wheel drive engine crossmember, (they are different between the models.) The rear axle swap is easier, get a nice sterling or 14 bolt, weld on some new leaf perches, and bleed brakes, done haha 😃

What coil springs did you use ?

I used the coils that came with the front axle when I bought it, I believe they are 3.5 lift coils from an 1979 f150. Way to stiff, I am going with 3.5 early bronco coils soon

@@shadytreekustomz6268 awesome thanks! I'm in the process of doing 06 super duty axles on my truck , was looking into doing bronco or xj coils to keep it soft

@@brockleclerc5900 That will be awesome, I heard XJ springs were a touch soft but work, if you aren’t streeting it at all XJ for more flex but bronco springs will give the best of both worlds
