FORD RANGER ON OLD SCHOOL SLOTTED MAGS AND 31s!! Build part 10

In this video we install some old school slotted mags and 31's on a stock ranger 4wd suspension. The wheels have the wrong bolt pattern, so we got them mounted up with adapters.

My friend ran spacers on his ram with 33s . Never had an issue because he torqued it and checked it like you said

Really enjoyed the build! I personally like the Alcoas from the 2wd body, maybe throw the big tires on there and lift it 2-3"

I like the 2wd alcoas too but the center bore is too small for the front 4wd hubs to pass through. I did end up buying another set of rims that I'll be showing soon! Thanks for watching! -Frosty

I just sold the wheels a few weeks back and the guy who bought them installed them on an 80's full size bronco, they looked perfect on his truck. He polished them up nice. I put the stock wheels and tire size back on it for the time being.

Yeah, these wheels are up for sale, they just don't look/fit right on this truck. Would look great on an old bronco or F150 though.

The stock ranger tire size is like 225/75/15 . I would put a more aggressive off road 235/75/15 bfgs or mudd tire with the stock rims look better too Sell the other ones get diffrent tires

I'm on the hunt for another 235/75/15 Goodyear wrangler, I only have 3 at the moment. Once I get one I'll probably sell the slots, I don't want to run a lift.

If you're building a full on mud buggy or extreme off roading ranger I'd say keep them and put knobby tires on them. If not then definitely gotta put some different wheels and tires but I also don't like the originals either so idk...

I'm in Lansing, MI. My 99 already has a 2 inch lift, next trying to find 31's to put on it. Then in the spring drop a 5.0 into it.

I agree, it either needs a small lift or it needs the stock size tires. I am leaning towards smaller tires, cheaper in the long run and it'll keep the little 4cyl happier. thank you for watching! -Frosty

For me i'd say ditch those wheels it will spoil the enjoyment of the truck to make them work you need to re gear and maybe raise the body of the chassis about 2 inches but why? Nice classic truck take it as it is

I will probably get another wheel and tire in the 235/75/15 size (only had 3) and run it. Without a lift these are just too big....but I haven't tried to drive it yet either. Thanks for watching and commenting! -Frosty
