Ford Sierra Cosworth RS 3 Door First Wash

PT 2 In this video we give the 3 door Ford Sierra Cosworth Rs it’s first wash in 9 years using the pressure washer then we use G3 compound and I electric buffer to polish the paintwork
Working at our fully equipped workshop in Kent we carry out tasks including Panel beating, Body work, Mig Welding, Sheet metal Spot Welding, Fabrication, Chassis Repairs, Sand Blasting, Engine and Mechanical repairs, Reconditioning, Restoration and Structural repairs on the Celette Jig Dozer frame machine.

The car is covered in micro blisters and needs a full repaint no question. there is also not a Detailer in the world that can polish out micro blisters. The jet wash is low pressure and wouldn’t blow the skin off of a rice pudding I also stated in the first video this is not the original paint so all stop panicking it will be getting a full repaint. salvage rebuilds uk i visited my Nana in Cumbria in 1988 when I was 8 years old. My uncle had a black Cosworth. Here in Australia 🇦🇺 Dick Johnson raced his red Cosworth to many victories. I went to Queensland in 2010 and visited his workshop where I saw his. That duck tail spoiler makes the car. It'd be nice to see you keep it as stock as possible with tweaks and mods from the era.

I know the feeling, in 1976 I sold my 1968 Mk2 Lotus Cortina £850.00 to get married. In 1978 I sold my 1973 Lotus Elan Sprint £1750.00 since it wasn't practical for first baby arrival, in 1984 I sold my 1979 Morgan Plus 8 £7500 to help fund a new house. They were all mint and low mileage cars and today would be worth near £100k but you won't hear me complain - much!

I’m the same mate, my dad bought his 3 door Cosworth RS brand new from the dealership. He passed it down to me as he bought a new car and I sold it around 15 years ago. 1 previous owner (my father) and had just under 30k miles on the clock. Sold it for around £15k and bought a Saab 93 Aero with the money. Probably the most stupid thing I’ve ever done

was a great video but. I know they say don’t use sponges 🧽 use wash mit and to dry don’t use leather use microfiber car drying cloths and should use gardex or similar to wash car industries now say sponges are most of the time the cause of the swirling marks you find on a vehicle because dirt can grab on to the sponge and if gritty can cause it to scratch plus most sponges are cheap and nasty and he should have done a PRE rinse off with horse pipe and he made me laugh saying it’s the first wash in 10 or 11 years yet title says 9 years lol 😆 and I won’t do any time lapses and then says do rest. Off camera and then goes straight to time lapse personally I prefer it when he does the ford fiestas and fiat 500 and VW beetle vids this is just my opinion so nothing against him but I don’t even like this car and I think the name spoiler says it all because that all it does is spoil it I hate spoilers on cars unless they are nice sculpted ones that look amazing on the vehicle like the ones on the mk3 facelift Renault Clio that even has brake light in and looks cool and isn’t in your face and doesn’t make it look cheap but maybe it’s also because the wheel look crap on this car once it’s restored I may grow to like it

I thought the same, rinse, wash, clay bar then polish. Get all those impurities out of the paint. Suspect they'd have trouble getting hold of a clay bar with everything locked down.

You don't clay car if you are not polishing it. You could use iron remover then synthetic clay bar instead.
