That huge steering wheel, having to turn it 4 " to get any response brings back fond memories.

Theres something just so appealing about piloting a brightly colored classic car down a scenic two lane on a clear late autumn/early winters day!

Good Morning Donald . I was born in 1953 and l can comfirm that my earliest memories are father squeezing every last ounce of power from his Ford Zepher Six in around 1956 down the Bovey Straights (UK) and try as he might he (thankfully!) couldn't get that magic "ton " ! I adore that delta wing hood adornment ! We mustn't forget that although this is post WW2 the Korean War was still active in 1953 . Thankyou Donald

Mr. Osborne, Keep em coming! As a previous owner of a 54 Capri, and a 58 Skyliner, I really appreciate these videos!

Very informative and nostalgic for me with the fotos. My first 3 cars were 46, 54 and 57 Ford's in the 60's and my folks had a new 53 Plymouth, a 54 pontiac, 55 Olds, 56 Merc and later a 55 Dodge and a 54 Chevy. Thanks so much.

My sister had one just like that before she was married. The Skyliner was very neat back then. I was only six or seven then and had just seen an add for the new Corvette and was hooked on cars from then on.

Really appreciate the continuous work and effort you guys put into making these reviews, And special thanks for Mr. Donald for sharing knowledge and passion with petrolheads like himself, Really love the post war & 1950s American automobiles that in their time were the most prestigious cars in the entire world, And I really enjoy these kind of videos that feature cars wich regular people could actually afford to buy and drove it in its time (The Glorious Jet Age & sputnik of the 1950s), Plus I would really appreciate it if you guys more car like this one❤.

Awesome video and fantastic delivery by Donald! You are a treasure and I am so awe-struck by your show! Thank you for doing such a great job. And oh, BTW, your attire should be a measure/standard other auto reviewers should take note of. Tired of the tired clothes others try to get away with!! Thank you! I ALSO loved Perry Mason and the CARS!!!! And the clothes!!! I started with season 1 and watched EVERY episode! Glad to know I'm not the only one!!

In 1956 my father was given a Victoria Skyliner as a high school graduation gift. His only complaint was getting cooked in the summer by the glass roof.

Sweet! I saw one of these on the street in the northwest valley, in good running patina condition, for $500. About 10 miles west of Jay Leno's Garage. It was gone by the time I dialed the number on the for sale sign. So close. 😊

Donald your 54 handles much better than previous year Ford because it went to ball joints. Also your BW automatic has three ratios, the lowest ratio not routinely used, it starts in second. Thanks for showing us this ultimate 54 Ford.

Great video review of our family cruiser which was only a crestliner victoria. I am surprised that you did not also mention the introduction of the modern ball joint suspension another selling point with the overhead valve v8.

The clear top on this 70 year old car looks better than the clear top on my '97 Vette. Mine is all crazed and cloudy, and I keep it in a garage and had covered parking at work. Things were just built better back then.

When time allows is Jay going to be joining you again? I know he's got a lot of things going on back at the house and needs to stay closer to California for the most part but I just wondered if there's any plans again to get together. That Ford was a unique one Mercury had one that was just like it too it was almost a clone with just different badging

my grandmother gave me her 53' Customliner which is essentially the same car w/ two more doors and no sauna glass top. When l got it in the 80s it was still like new. Less than 50k on it. immaculately maintained at the dealership. They eventually had to store special parts for her. Sadly the car was stolen on a road trip while eating in Waco Tx. They found the car stripped and burnt out.
