It is quite amazing with so many large cities in the US that small cars aren't more popular. I could imagine that this sort of car would be useful even for a commute from say, Pittsburgh to NYC if someone wanted to go easy on the gas/petrol consumption. We don't have so many parking lots in the UK as most cars manage to find a space on the street as the comparative small size of cars aimed at the British and European markets don't take up so much room.

Probably. The thing is that the British have a very dark sense of humour and although the scenes look horrific to people elsewhere in the world, we're so used to this sort of humour that we can be horrified but then laugh really loudly because we've got a much quicker 'switch-over' where we realise it's not real.
