OMGs.! I remember my dads 1960 Ford Fairlane 500!! One of my favorite Ford car! But ours was the 4 door sedan full size car..it was identifyable in the rear with that Pepsi style symbol taillights' and design marks on the rear bumper!.😂😂

No more knee knocking! We had a 1962 bronze ranch wagon until 1972. Dad bought it in Detroit.

We had a gray Country Squire and I remember my father saying he bought it because the GM wagon had the third seat facing backwards and he didn't want his kids staring at headlights during trips. Funny thing is, before we got out of town, we (4 children) would fold down both the second and third seats so we could have a large "playroom". Drove my father crazy. Seatbelts? There weren't any in the first place! He went on to a '64 Country Squire followed by a '67 Country Sedan (which was essentially a Country Squire without the fake wood or the third seat).

I thought the ‘60 was a handsome design. One year only, then more good looking vehicles to come. One of my favorite designs was the’60 Starliner…one good looking car.

He mentions five Ford wagons, only three are shown here. Presumably there was another spot elsewhere in the same broadcast featuring the two Falcon wagons (2 and 4 doors).

It took me a loong time to realize, but at that time, when a "Ford" or a "Chevrolet" or such were referred to it was the original, standard model line. If you note on a "full-line" brochure from the era it will say Ford, Falcon, and Thunderbird. I thought they were *all* Fords until I realized that the "Ford" line meant the Galaxie, Fairlane, or Custom. So the 5 Ford wagons were Country Squire 9-pass., Country Sedan 6- and 9-pass. and the Ranch Wagon 2- and 'For-dor", not the Falcons!

@@trudygreer2491 Indeed, the Falcon was the first "line-extension" car with FORD on the front of the car - the Thunderbird, the British imports, even the '57 Fairlanes - all had their model name in that prime spot.
