It will allow you to get the car out of park in the event that something electronic fails and the car shifter gets stuck in park.

Robert. Thanks for the information. My gas mileage has always shown me the correct miles to empty, but recently it's like it's stuck. Even when I fill the tank, the miles to empty does not change. Do you know if I can fix or reset that myself somehow? Thank you!!

@@RobertDIY Thank you for responding. Yes I have. I can't figure it out. The gas gage is full. I fill up the tank and the number stays the same as before I filled it up, and the miles to empty just keeps going lower and lower. 🤷😭 This was one thing that I actually used and liked knowing how many miles to empty that I had. It won't reset so I guess that it will just go to zero miles to empty at some point and will never work again. ☹️

I seem to have a short or something in my “OK” button. The up and down arrows work as described (scrolls the different screens), but the OK button also scrolls the screens. It used to work fine (reset the trips, etc), but stopped working a few months ago. Do you know how to remove cover(s) to see what’s wrong?

My Ford Escape had a digital speedometer. When I reset both trip odometers my digital speedometer disappeared on the display screen. It’s not even on the screen when I scroll through all the options within trip 1 and trip 2. Do you have any ideas on what could have happened?

I just noticed that it is getting better gas mileage two days ago. I am getting around 32 mpg now. The car only has 7,600 miles after 5 years. It is driven extremely gentle.

Cam some one tell me, I got 2015 65 plate 1.5 tdci titanium x, I had 50 miles left on computer. So I filled it up and only got in 44 liters . Where its say 55 liters in.my book. I think there is some thing wrong am I right can some get back to me thanks lee
