Ford Focus MK3 hidden menu (diagnostic test mode instrument cluster)

Diagnostic hidden menu in Ford Focus MK3 lets you perform various tests: needle sweep, LCD segments, indicators, sound chimes. You can read DTC error codes and view engine live data like speed, RPMs, battery voltage, coolant temperature, fuel level and fuel flow. Accessing instrument cluster hidden service menu is useful when diagnosing faults in your car without access to advanced tools or OBD2 scanners.

Worked perfectly on my 2014 C-Max Energi. Unfortunately I couldn't get it to throw a wrench light when I was driving it. Having a problem with the electric cabin heater not working. Heater will only work when the gas engine is running.

With this Self test you can only read fault codes (DTC Diagnostic Trouble Codes) in the Instrument Cluster IC/ Instrument Panel Cluster IPC) Not in Engine Control Module (PCM ) or Body Control Module or other.

Oh good to know. So you are saying the codes are only applying to the instrument cluster. Not the engine, or the body control module. The codes do NOT apply to these....

Thank you for the video. Do you know how can i connect the smartphone via USB? Focus MK 3 trend model doesnt have aux input and USB doesnt recognize the phone.

I believe that USB is for storage device only (like a pen drive). If you can set your phone to work as an USB data storage device then you should be able to see its contents in your car.

Where is the part in trip computer that tells you if you have been changing gear, accelerating properly. Its gives you a star with 5 lines for each ratings, cant find it anywhere now

You will need to scan your car to check what’s the actual fault code.

Brooooooo !!!!, you are the man with the solution !!, i know it !!, if you fix this, youll definetly help thouthands of ford focus 2012 and onwards owners... its the fucking SYNC, bluetooth problem and also cant access aux mode with the button... just stays in radio mode or swich and cant do shit.... "solutions" that where teied by me and billion others... disconecting the battery, disconecting the fuse, master reset, fabric update.... nothing seems to work !!, but you, i knew you where somewhere out there... be our hero bro !!!

EASY fix... Remove SPARK PLUG for Bluetooth located passenger side under dashboard.

What does the odometer reading show? Not miles as it does not match the mileage done.

I believe that's number of pulses from the ABS sensor for 1 kilometer.

ABS sensors are always active. Used for traction control, ESP, detecting low tire pressure, estimate vehicle position change when there's no GPS signal and to calculate vehicle speed.
