According to workers at the campground, the owner called and said “let it float”. The owners girlfriend called some friends and with the help of another person‘s hitch they were able to do this.

As someone that has grown up going camping all over the country, a lot of interesting things can happen in campgrounds. But one of the best things about owning a camper is that it's like being in a club, it's like a brotherhood and being from the south(New Orleans) leave it to southerners to help you get back up and rolling. And it's not just people from the south that are curtious but you get the idea. It makes the whole experience a lot better, when you might forget important things or have a hard time to the destination but your soon to be neighbors could help you get into your spot or out when you're leaving. I miss camping

@@christianh.8408 This is a 6.0 Diesel engine. it has a belt driven clutch fan. Most of the critical components are on the top side of the engine. Its actually a good choice for a water rescue.

He had at least a foot or more before needing to worry about sucking water. Air intake is above the wheel well, at least mine is, but seeing he has an aftermarket intake, it is even higher. I would be more concerned about water getting inside and under the carpet.

I woke up one sunny morning after a night storm with a park warden knocking on our trailer door in almost a knee deep of water. Luckily was below the door line of my Toyota truck, but was quite a hilarious site to see the ducks swimming around on what used to be our camp site. On the Great lakes water levels have gone so high in the last few years - sometimes I don't even recognize the shoreline in some places. In some park a whole row of what used to be the prime camping spaces is gone completely. No wonder it gets flooded when the wind direction change.

Holy cow how’d he get in that situation? Was there a flash flood rain night before? As long as you keep it running and water out of the air cleaner they’ll do the job. Problem is you need to drain all fluids afterwards. How water gets in but oil don’t get out is beyond me. Like the powerstroke. I like all three. I feel you can’t go wrong buying any of the domestic diesels. That one looks a little tweaked. Tried to read badge. Is that an old 7.3? Awesome motor. I straight piped my Duramax and love the sound of a straight piped diesel.

I dig it. That was pretty cool. I can't lie, I would probably try it too. They quit building those 6 liters in 2007 (E series a little later). The truck is probably paid off, used for doing work and probably testing the limits doing work. Change the fluids after work then call it a day. This guy has a little story to tell around a camp fire 3 years from now.

All that is needed to get in "such a mess" is to fail to watch the weather report 100 miles up river. If we are at a creek near a river we have to watch local weather and 100 mile weather. The local rain will swell the local creek. the distant rain will swell the river which backs up the tributaries.

Great job backing that out. Please make sure that if the front and rear diff vents are low then change out the diff fluid asap. The camper may just need to have the bottom insulation pulled to let it dry under there, spray for mold and then re-insulate.

They weren't in the area at the time. The water rose really fast.. I posted a timelapse as well, watch how fast it rose in the last 15 second of video or 1 hour real time
