Before I decided to homeschool both of my young boys, I had the same concerns about social interactions and such, but there are many homeschooling programs and groups you can get your kids involved in that give them all the social interaction and engagement they will ever need. Not to mention these groups 9/10 share the same moral values, which helps strengthen the childrens core values as well. I was an 80’s kid, went through public schools my entire childhood, but public schools today are not what they use to be. They are far more unsafe than they were. The indoctrination, the politics, removing religion, school shootings, no longer saying the National Anthem, pushing these gender agendas on kids as young as 6 years old. I know cause my boys started in Kindergarten at public school and I saw all this nonsense first hand just before the pandemic hit. Ever since my boys have been homeschooled, and will continue to be. They’ve even excelled at learning cause they can actually focus more here at home on their curriculum. I could most certainly use your same statement and say it’s child abuse for putting your kids into public school nowadays. At least I know their safety is far more secure here at home.

However, from my experiences during Covid and my homeschooling for two years, it was an absolute hell. No social interaction, no friends. I may just be a social person and that’s it, but it still doesn’t seem right. Here in NC, we still stand for the pledge of allegiance, we aren’t taught the gender agendas, and not really much indoctrination. Maybe I also know how to think for myself, but who am I to say that? It’s different for every place and I think we can both agree on that. On the topic of school shootings, it’s a rough one for me to argue on this side of the argument. Just run, I guess. Maybe we need better protection for children? I don’t think there has ever been a time where that hasn’t been needed.

TV channels were only on liberal local stations or CNN, MSNBC, etc. I tried to change the channel to FOX news on request by a resident and was told by a co-worker "we're liberal here. We don't listen to FOX news" (the only choice available on cable that wasn't totally leftist). My parents are elderly now with one in a nursing home, both are extremely hard-of-hearing, and I'm not trusting the staff or anyone else with my parent's votes. I'm going to help them myself to make sure they vote the way they want to.
