I just had my cardiologist yearly follow up. He saw I was not taking the stations due to muscle pain. I told him I was taking B3 niacin at 500mg daily. He said it wasn't going to do anything. When I told him niacin had a history of treatment of cholesterol he denied it saying he'd never heard of it. He then suggested another appointment a year from now "if I don't see you in the hospital first" . Needless to say I'm looking for a new doctor.

I had a serious muscular reaction to Bergamot (prescribed by my doctor). Uncommon, but I'm one of the people who react. Took a while to figure out what was going on, and during that time, my shoulder became 10-level painful and nearly immobile (I could, with my arm hanging down, rotate my thump about 20 degrees. That's it.) Doc wanted me to go to a pain clinic; my Pilates instructor helped me sort it out. After five weeks of suffering, pain was gone within 24 hours of stopping the Bergamot. Got most of the use of my shoulder back. FWIW.

I take 500mg Niacin for skin cancer with 200 CoEnzyme 10 which should go together, (you cannot use the non flushing for skin cancer) but you can use a low dose aspirin to reduce flushing, 5000 D3 and 400 K2, 500 Complex C, Bentomine (B1) 400, and Super Garlic 500 mg. I went off statins and BP meds and have never felt better or had better numbers. My doctor is still trying to push me onto meds. I have also dropped 6 dress sizes, eat no processed foods and very little sugar only from fresh fruit. I simply do not believe prescription meds are healthy for you.

Are you treating skin cancer with niacin or attempting to prevent it? Big difference. It's terribly unfortunate that you reject Dr. Brewer's approach to health, many other people will die too soon if they followed your path and rejected his which relies on medication for many patients. However, in any single case, your situation might work out. Wishing you lots of luck.

I would like to point out that blood. Test results for vitamin D3 are measured in different units in the US and Europe. Nmol/L in Europe and ng/ml in US. You should divide the european units by 2,5 to get the standard talked about here. I was taking 3200.iu per day for just a few months, before which I was on about 1000 iu, and was told to reduce because my results showed 129 nmol/L (51,6ng/ml) If I had been taking the amounts talked about here I would have been way over the top of recommended dosage. My point is that it is wise to get tested before taking mega dosages as recommended on a number of YT videos nowadays. I live in Norway and get no sun all winter.
@RichardHarlos Жыл бұрын
deborah wrote, _"If I had been taking the amounts talked about here I would have been way over the top of recommended dosage."_ The video is very clear that the numbers are ng/ml. The only way I can imagine that you would be over the recommended dosage is if you only looked at the number and not the "ng/ml" following the number. In that case, your statement really ought to read as follows: "If I had been taking the amounts talked about here _*without paying attention to the 'ng/ml' part,*_I would have been way over the top of recommended dosage." This puts the responsibility to understand correctly what's said and written on you, not on _"the amounts talked about here..."_ In any case, I'm glad you were able to catch the mistake and correct it before more serious consequences unfolded.

@jintaeleo1289 Жыл бұрын
@@taken0218 Vitamin D3 should always be taken in combination with vitamin K2. These two vitamins work together synergistically and ensure that calcium obtained from food is deposited in the bones and not in the arteries. Can you take vitamin D3 without K2? It won’t hurt to take these two supplements separately, but it will save you time to take them together. The only real consideration to keep in mind is taking vitamin D3 without taking any vitamin K, because if you have a high level of vitamin D3 without enough vitamin K, the calcium might not transfer to the bones properly and instead end up in the vascular tissue. This is because vitamin K is required to activate proteins that concentrates calcium to bones, such as matrix GLA and osteocalcin. It is ALWAYS recommend taking vitamin D with vitamin K2 if you are supplementing. Vitamin D is a fat soluble vitamin Vitamin D increases calcium levels in the body. Vitamin K helps the body use calcium by shuttling it to your bones. These are taken from papers that were published in 2018 to 2022. They work better as a team taken together and not separately

Some people may need supplements, but if you have inflammation, and/or insulin resistance, the best thing is change your diet. Eat whole foods, from the best source you can obtain. I like a Low carb, high fat diet, but there are other diets that probably work. If you are a diabetic get off the things that caused it in the first place, sugar, high carb foods, processed foods, and vegetable oils. I eliminated my prediabetes, fatty liver disease, and hypothyroidism, ( all signs of metabolic syndrome) by eating healthy animal fats, and eliminating sugars, vegetable oils, and processed foods. Oh, I have also lost 75 pounds, and now exercise a minimum of 30 minutes a day. Get your micronutrients from eating healthy foods, not synthetic supplements.

If you want some feedback from a 15 year MI survivor who had a Quad bypass at the same time, I would say stay calm about things. The bypass most likely bought you significant time to change your lifestyle and condition. If you had a bypass, you are likely on a BP med already. Why mess with the hawthorn at your advanced state? Daily exercise would probably be a much better tonic for your heart than some old dry berries. We have to make sure the big things are covered before we chase after the whole cabinet. I would concentrate on your diet, weight, stress and getting adequate sleep, as well as exercise almost every day. Make sure you address insulin resistance. Take your meds. Then look at the big supplements like Niacin, D3, K2, etc.....and hawthorn if you like. It's the big things RX's, exercise, diet, how and when you eat, sleep, that will carry you the furthest. If your A1C is high, then that's a lot of what this channel is all about.

I wonder what Dr. Brewer thinks of Arterosil, a supplement of special algae and herbs, to be used in conjunction with low statin doses and some of the supplements he suggests. Since this is an older video not sure this gets his attention.. but would really be interested whether he tried it! Thank you.!
@PrevMedHealth4 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much for making me aware. Their logic & knowledge base supporting the need for such a supplement is great. But many of use know that already. The question is whether their product actually works. And they present something that looks like evidence for their own product. But when I dig deeper it starts getting thin and elusive. I plan to dig deeper.

@@PrevMedHealth thank you dear Dr. Brewer for replying. I am doing their free webinar at the moment and am learning a lot. Their Drs. prescribing Arterosil along with Vit.K and unfortunately Rosuzet ( seems one cannot avoid statins). Thank You for all your videos I am so glad I found your channel. Why do our cardiologists not tell us what you do!!! Thank you! God bless you!

So many people could just change their diet and see the results in as little as a month! ( LDL, HDL & Triglycerides). Longer if you need time to adjust a change more slowly.It’s the easiest and most natural way to normalize your biology but MOST people would rather be right than happy! I completely understand how difficult it is to change your diet and would much rather take a pill, than EAT FOR LIFE! If you’re really, truly wanting health, I suggest working with a Nutritional Therapist or someone knowledgeable in clinical Nutrition or even a Doctor like Brewer, who understands the effects of what you put in your body or don’t, & how important exercise and movement is! Perhaps Dr Brewer could address this or what I would love to see, is a challenge to people so they could have some motivation to see what dietary lifestyle changes can do! It’s also one of the first line of therapy that healthcare practitioners are supposed to offer before drug therapy!

Does D3 raise calcium in arteries? Is D3 a form of calcium?
@vapeking4663 жыл бұрын
Don't think so.
@200Nora3 жыл бұрын
@@vapeking466 Assisting calcium into the bones is one of the functions of D3. Calcium is a mineral found in rocks and other places in the environment. VD3 is more like a fat-soluble hormone; your body uses its fat to metabolize it from sun exposure. Also found in organic foods like fish, sardines, and supplements. Some products have been fortified with these vitamins and minerals. It usually tells you on the label.

Did the stress an doctor said stress test turned out very well.. an he’s not concerned But I’m still thinking of the valve leak An if I need to be concerned .. It could have also been the machine picking up any little leak

Berberine (barberry, oregon grape goldenseal and a few others) & Metformin - effect K2's production and effectiveness - you should not take them together - These should be sourced organically as well. Berberine tea is better and you can likely source it from your own yard or close by.

I was dx with Afib and heart failure last year, and have had bood pressure issues and insulin resistance, l'm on a mitt full of meds for blood pressure, blood thinner, anti arrhythmic. Last week l went and got supplements ginger root, cinnamon and beet capsules for digestion, bloodsugar and blood pressure. I also got garlic, krill oil, and b complex. I took them for about 4 days and l started to feel so lousey-- lightheaded, out of it, heart palpitations, mouth irritation,l stopped the beet caps, ginger root and cinnamon., and feel better again. I'm glad l figured it out right away. I was trying to do the right thing and do 'herbal' stuff, but l was wrong. I kept the krill oil, garlic and b complex. I'm trying to eat healthy and get magnesium from peanuts, cereal,,eat veggies, bananas and strawberries to be diuretic, limit sodium, etc. I'm out a few $ on the supplements and won't be taking them. The doc suggested the krill oil and garlic,I shoulda talked to my doctor more. Just thought l'd share, the supplements were bad for me, and hope this helps someone else from running into the same thing l did. Anything l can use the supplements for other than throw them away?

I’ve never heard of this combination of supplements for digestion and I’m a Nutritional Therapist! Most people have indigestion due to a lack of HCL production and it’s happening earlier in life as our food is so barren of nutrients when we eat packaged, processed, dead foods! Your body cannot MAKE enough of it’s own. HCL without the precursors needed to make it and the process of digestion doesn’t like to allow food that’s not predigested enough to make it’s way to the small intestine! I’m thinking you might have tried doing this without help from a knowledgeable source to Guide you! Great for trying, but asking and seeking professional help is a better route especially when you have known medical issues! Perhaps look for a Nutritional Therapist who uses Optimal Blood Chemistry Analysis to see what your lab work SHOWS where your nutritional needs are lacking or need attention to! Then you can be scientifically guided and not guess!
