That super major is lovely!! I’ve got one made in 1962, hopefully one day it will look like that!! Flap disc is great for bringing the shine up. Hear in cornwall they would take that down the beach and do a few bouts.😀 as always very entertaining 👍

That’s not a bad idea about the beach.

Top Tips: Buy some skimmers and set your disks wider to leave a clean furrow and discover what that strange angled pedal is on the right, it is called the differential lock pedal, but be sure to spare plenty of WD40 on the linkage otherwise it will local and not release !. P.

Thanks for your response. Seen this video I have found some skimmers but no brackets (will have to copy mine for pattern). Would it be normal for super major to be struggling 3 furrows on the back or is that due to Big Bazz not cleaning it off before dropping it in.

It all depends on the soil type and conditions. Super Major will handle 3 furrow on easy working land in good weather. But on heavy clay, in wet weather it will really struggle with 2 furrows even if it had lots of wheel weights and water (ballast) in the tyres. Looking at the video again the disks don't look right to me, are they the correct disk brackets for that plough? They are set all wrong, the rear disk is very deep the other two are very shallow and the rear disk is set very wide.

I think the disks are right but are worn badly and are different diameters. The plough has been painted before fettling. Needs a bit of time freeing bits off for adjustment. I would say it was dry ish sandy land.

Very nice major my grandfather bought a new super major in 1961 with a puh power steering and a loader she cost about £800 wish we still had it
@Ro33ie199 ай бұрын
You would want power steering with loader on. How much could it lift? Our Power major with loader on could nearly lift a tonne but only if it wasn’t attached right at the end.

@@Ro33ie19 I can remember lifting the half tonne bags of fertilizer with the loader am going to look out this year for a super major as I learned how to drive on one and would like to have one again
