I get the theory of the technique. However, it’s a big difference swinging through the air. Versus having a hard groundstroke ball making contact with the racket face with a you having a loose wrist and grip. I’m thinking it would be hard to control and direct the ball. Enjoy your videos. They have helped me. Thanks

Hi. Great observation. But don't worry about it. If you begin loose, you'll automatically tense up at contact. Look at footage of the pros. In the back swing they are relaxed. At contact, you can see every muscle and vein as they are very tense. It's great that your enjoying the site. www.oneminutetennis.com

Thanks. I still have a back log of One Minute Tennis "lessons." Each time I wonder what other observations of cause and effect you might have noticed.

Good lesson. But dropping the racket correctly means allowing it to TWIST (SUPINATE) your forearm. The extended wrist “falls” down along with the racket due to supination, not on its own. So I think

Yes. That's exactly correct. But if you relax the arm to this extent, that movement occurs naturally. It's great that your enjoying the site. www.oneminutetennis.com

@oneminutetennis yes sure, we allow the racket (besides everything else) to extend the wrist if only wrist will be relaxed..

@@oneminutetennis thanks for the reply. I’ve been working on my footwork, especially with approaching/ attacking the net. I find that after striking the ball I immediately jump into a split step to help better negotiate any returning balls. Any tips would be most helpful. Thanks and keep up the great work. Cheers
