+mr from UA Włoski is an adjective of "Włochy", which is from Latin Volscī. Volsci are ancient Italic people from the first century of the Roman republic.
@Viktorvelat95
@Viktorvelat95 3 жыл бұрын
“Wloski” or “Wlochy” cognates with “Wallachia” which is a name for one of the three main regions of Romania (the other two being Transylvania and Moldavia), also there’s a small region in the Moravian part of the Czech Republic that is called “Valašsko”, all of this is indeed derived from the Latin word “Volsci”, as my colleague above mentioned. Cheers!

Portuguese and spanish are in fact really similar languages, and yes, I can understand most of it. But they are two different languages, and our official language here in Portugal is portuguese. Btw, did you like your vacances in here? What do you think of the country and the people? :-)

+Vegano pelos Animais Depends of the zone. The capitol was lovely but honestly I think there's like a "barrier" in terms of economics between Lisbon and the rest of the country which you can clearly see once you arrive to the country. Portugal with a little bit more "descentralized" government would be a paradise :). Ireland has nothing to do with the UK or even England, still a lot of people think about Ireland as part of the UK, that's similar to the situation of Portugal with Spain I guess ( with the obvious exception of the language which is pretty similar but not the same of course ).

But Czech and slovack are the most similar because its the same group of 'western slavic languages'
@mehrheitler
@mehrheitler 5 жыл бұрын
You’re not quite correct, it’s Ukrainian sounds similar to Polish because of immense amount of borrowings (and common origin, of course). But vocabulary is the only thing that makes it closer, genetically it is East Slavic language as well as Russian and Belarusian, while Polish is West Slavic, so the closeness statement is also not quite correct.
@Pidalin
@Pidalin 4 жыл бұрын
For me (as Czech) Ukrainian sounds much more eastern, very similar to Russian because they have that "eastern slavic accent" but words are much more understandable for me than Russian. So Russian and Ukrainian sounds similar for me, but in Ukrainian I have much better chance to catch something. Russians have very different basic words, if you compare for example basic word good (dobrý, dobře etc...), in Czech, Slovak, Polish and Ukrainian it's understandable, but Russians have something different. Poles sounds similar to Czech for me, ofcourse they have much more ŠČ sounds, but when I hear Polish somewhere far I sometimes think it's Czech because we have similar accent and you can find sentences which are almost same and they have even almost same grammar. Slovaks are close to Czech by vocabulary, but accent is much softer, we can spot Slovak very easily even when they thing they speak Czech good. Even from 1 km distance I can hear it's Slovak. That's very interesting because we understand to Slovaks because of similar words, but accent is actually very different. :-D
