@@awell1207 you’re very welcome ! It’s really up to you 🤷🏽♀️ if you’re not sure whether or not you want to become a nurse then yes, trying out CNA could be a good place to start but, you also have the LPN option. I think the LPN is a better option to start at then CNA. A bit more lengthy in schooling but better pay, less back breaking and more options in my opinion. You would have to go through the application . Only they can assess you education and determine whether or not it’s equivalent. @@MarkOpoku-h4f If you’re currently licensed in the USA, I’m sure that will surely help with your application because that means that you already did the NNAS process. @kiearacelina2 ай бұрын
@@desirereed2875 So coming as an LPN is a bit trickier because LPNs around the world go to school for different lengths of time and a lot of countries issue certificates vs diplomas which are not recognized in Canada. @kiearacelina2 ай бұрын
Thank you for the information. Like I said in the video, processes work on a case by case basis and, all the official links are linked in the description so people can get their information from the source. I know a few Nigerian nurses that were able to move here in less than 2 months after applying. There are also some provinces that don’t require you to have Nclex in order to move. You come on a provisional license and work under the supervision of a registered nurse and you have 4 months to write yours. Prince Edward Island is one province that does this. Just because it was harder for you, doesn’t mean it’ll be the same for everyone, especially if they’re from the 7 countries I mentioned.

I never find information about lpns, always RNs
@kiearacelina2 ай бұрын
@@desirereed2875 I know the feeling.. I always say the same thing but it’s because, most RNs (outside of USA) are required to have bachelors degrees in order to practice which Canada will consider however, LPNs around the world have a vastly different scope of practice, different lengths in study and different certifications. Canada recognizes LPNs with 2 year diplomas whereas a lot of countries issue certificates than take roughly a year so, the equivalence isn’t always there.
