To me, it's Lou Gramm or it's not Foreigner. Any band can sound like this. Lou is the literal voice of Foreigner. Even Journey knew to hire a sound-a-like to Steve Perry.

I had been trying to get my 15 year old son into the good rock and roll music we all grew up on and loved from the 70's and 80's. Few days ago he snuck out while I was gone to work with his older sister, When I got home I checked with him Mother and she said he had gone to a concert, I asked who he went to see and she said she didnt know. Odd I know. Well, He gets home pretty later, I get up to go to work next day and before I leave I wake my son up and ask him what concert he went to. He said he went to see Foreigner, said it was their last tour. I got to say, It was a super proud moment for me.. If he is sneaking out to go see Foreigner he is ok and a normal kid. So glad these guys had enough left in the tank to give one more tour for old people like me, but also for those that never got to know them in their prime.

a bit of an off comment im making but reading your part where he said he forgot who and he didnt know is new oddity with current pop stars. Its known that people like Taylor swift and lady gaga and some rap or hip hop stars are using magic and casting spells on their audience and they have no recollection of their experiences. Im not crazy or making this up it really is what's happening. Im a musician and grew up in the 80's and today's music not only sucks but they master the music in a certain tone that puts the listener in a specific mindset. look into it you will trip.

We saw them in Sacramento last night with LoverBoy and it was a phenomenal, close to sold out show. My wife and me saw them with Lou in '02-03 and this line up and show were dare I say it better. It was an exceptional performance. Kelly is one kick ass front man that has been doing it fornthem for @ 20 years. If you see and hear these guys perform you will NOT be disappointed. The entire crowd stood almost the entire set.

There’s so many bands from the 70’s that maybe have one original member left which kind of makes them more of a tribute band. A few years back I saw The Guess Who in a tiny place and the drummer was the only original member performing. Everyone else in the band was probably at least 20 years younger. Decent show, but with a cheesy feel.
