I’m 58 so Foreigner was part of the soundtrack. They weren’t my favorite but I knew all the hits of course. They were a hit machine. But even though their music was very middle of the road rock & roll, Lou Gram was a monster vocalist. One of the greats. It warms my heart to see him belting out these songs as a survivor. Not just of a brain tumor, but he also survived the greed and betrayal of Mick and put the fans ahead of his personal pain. Now that’s a man to admire.

It was also sad that Mick kept Lou from coming back for far too long. I realize they were probably both stubborn but I think based on all I’ve read over the years, that Mick had a serious control problem. It’s clear Lou can still sing these songs. I take nothing away from Kelly but these were Lou’s songs and in the end Kelly was just singing covers in a tribute band featuring Mick Jones.

Thank you for pointing out Ian! I've been trying to figure out who passed away. But when you Google Ian's name the pictures of him are from when he was much younger.

Lou Gramm es simple y sencillamente extraordinario, un líder en toda la extensión de la palabra. Rock de altura el de Foreigner con él de vocalista.
