I’m 58 so Foreigner was part of the soundtrack. They weren’t my favorite but I knew all the hits of course. They were a hit machine. But even though their music was very middle of the road rock & roll, Lou Gram was a monster vocalist. One of the greats. It warms my heart to see him belting out these songs as a survivor. Not just of a brain tumor, but he also survived the greed and betrayal of Mick and put the fans ahead of his personal pain. Now that’s a man to admire.

It would be nice to see Foreigner in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame but Tony politics involved Mick is close to one of the people who runs the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the two of them are not on speaking terms which has been quite a long time now and I don't think they will ever make amends to apologize and I don't think Foreigner will ever be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame due to that friendship between Mick and his friend that runs the hall itself.

Good evening. I very much enjoyed this, I saw the band back in May of 2000 here in Atlanta , GA at the Music Midtown festival where we had both local and national artists. This was after Mr. Moonlight came out. Those were fun times. Sadly the venue changed after ten years and started having acts that I’ve never heard of or weren’t interested in. Foreigner were a part of my youthful sound track growing up and are still a part of my life. Me being sixty years on.

Bless Lou Gramm! Foreigner never would've been as great without him. I've always said the two best pure talented vocalists in rock music are Paul Rodgers and Lou Gramm. There are lots of greats, but none match those two. Lou is amazing!!

@@Thataintnothing Wow, that's awesome, brother! Huge congrats on seeing them. Unfortunately, at 46 now, I was a little too young to have seen them in their prime. Then in the later 80s, I wasn't allowed to go to any concerts until around 14 or so. Bummer. But I can only imagine great they were live, in person. I forgot to mention one other way cool cat in my original comment who I believe was also up there with them as amazing vocalists... Eric Burdon. Man how I would've loved to have been able to see The Animals. I was just born in the wrong era!

Now wait a minute, he does not sound close to how he did in his 20's. I love Lou as well but he is older, the near-death situation he experienced has impacted his voice significantly. Their is definitely some strain and struggle. That unique Lou Gramm pitch is unfortunately gone.

I was lucky enough to be at this show and at Lou’s other show with the band that year at Jones Bech Theater. I was super impressed how fantastic Lou sounded. It was also sad that Mick kept Lou from coming back for far too long. I realize they were probably both stubborn but I think based on all I’ve read over the years, that Mick had a serious control problem. It’s clear Lou can still sing these songs. I take nothing away from Kelly but these were Lou’s songs and in the end Kelly was just singing covers in a tribute band featuring Mick Jones.

Congratulations on finally making it into the R & R Hall of Fame. It took way to long but they made it. We' won't see this lineup live at the awards ceremony. The guitar player you see here is.. Ian McDonald 25 June 1946 - 9 February 2022 R.I.P.
