The air B n B with the mirrored ceilings was actually used to give the illusion of height. I learned this from a tall athlete that did a house tour with his ex. He's only got 6.5 ft ceilings and at over 6ft himself so to give the room a better look he mirrored tye whole thing, including the en suite.

Do visit SM Seaside Mall, Cebu Ocean Park, and NuStar resort and casino in South Road Properties (SRP). These places offer a modern experience of Cebu City's ever-changing landscape. The SRP is a more organized and less chaotic part of town, since it's built from scratch on reclaimed land. Lantaw (SRP branch) is an open-air restaurant with one of the best seaside views of Cebu's skyline. CCLEX (locally known as the 3rd bridge) is the longest bridge in the Philippines. It has 8 well-lighted crosses at night, which symbolizes the fusion of tradition and modernity in Cebu.

Being a first timer in a place, I suggest you get the fact first from knowledgeable locals about things before making any statements so as not to make any false information. Some instances: on the timeline 10:20 where you show a certain tall building you said was damaged by a typhoon was actually incorrect because that building was long abandoned unfinished since 2017 due to some legal issues with the local building codes. That unfinished building didn't have its glass windows installed yet as its structure and exteriors were not yet finished by the time it was ordered stopped. If you noticed those protruding scaffoldings are still there, which is remarkable owing to the strong winds which was the strongest to ever hit Cebu. On timeline 15:47, the ceiling or roof of the Ayala Center Cebu mall was really designed that way, bare trusses. The mall was opened in 1994, exactly a year after SM City Cebu opened in November 1993. Majority of the highrise buildings in Cebu only sustain minor damage such as a few pieces of cladding and few glass windows shattered. The 150-meter viewing tower of SM Seaside mall which is located close to the edge of the ocean is the only tall structure in Cebu that had significant damage from the typhoon where about 1/10 of its cladding flew off but has long been replaced already.

The building we pointed out was the building that says Fusion on it, part of Robinson circle not the tall building behind it. Expecting tourists to know everything and anything before arriving is unrealistic. We are here to explore the city and reacting as an outsider we are sorry if that offends you. No offense is intended. At no point should you expect foreigners who are visiting a place for the first time to have the knowledge of someone who has lived here. But perhaps you do not like tourists
@basakboy2 жыл бұрын
@@BiancaBeyond that last sentence was uncalled for. no need to be defensive and raise your hackle every time someone write something you don't like. end of grouse. fun part: cebu is called sugbu by the natives [probably not anymore by the young ones].
@lionhearted19692 жыл бұрын
@@BiancaBeyond I didn't expect any foreigner to know everything about a place as a first timer. I clearly said that as a first timer to a place, you should ask the locals who have considerable knowledge about certain things. You can't just issue statements based on 'pure visual observation' without confirming it from locals, not just one local.

When I went from Cebu to Manila they did the trivia thing. I had a friend in Cebu so didn't have to do the taxi or Grab thing to get around but it was still a pain a lot of times. The bridge in your drone shot is the longest bridge in the Philippines and takes you to Mactan Island. It is a nice trip over the bridge but once you get off the bridge it was crazy traffic. You need to go to what they call the Top of Cebu and check out Balay/Busay restaurant and La Vie in The Sky a french style place.
