Foreigners Try Kerala Indian Food 🇮🇳 | South Indian Food | Malayali Indian Food

This is our first full day in Alaphuzza and we are ready to share our first impressions with you! After a leisurely breakfast, we took a canoe out on the backwaters of Kerala’s longest lake. While exploring the waters, we came across a man chest-deep in the water. He was collecting mussels from the bottom of the lake. After touring the lake in a canoe, we got to experience a live cooking show. The Chef at the Grand Ayur Resort (Spice Country Resorts) set up a special cooking station on the property to teach us what it takes to make two mouth-watering Kerala Seafood and Malayali food. With over twenty spices, the Chef slow-cooked these dishes to perfection and then wrapped them in banana leaves. We couldn’t wait to dig into them! Jonathan and Granite give you a full description of the flavors and textures of these dishes, as we gain a new appreciation for Kerala’s culinary culture.
We are lucky enough to be in Kerala during the Hindu Festival Season. In our next video, we get to experience our first Temple Festival at the Odampally Temple. You won’t want to miss this celebration.

about 80% of the spices in the world come from India, of that majority are from Kerala. Trivia- Vasco Da Gama the Portuguese explorer was looking for spices and India and landed here searching for it oin Kochi and so did the British and the Dutch> Spice was so precious that the trading was done via sign language with hands whilst hiding it under a piece of cloth. You can see the infamous spice market in Kochi.

My observations and suggestions: 1. You and your wife are so respectful, caring, great listeners and one can see you are transmitting these values to your kids. Amazing 3. I pray that you and your family grows up with all the experiences that you are undertaking but you never grow old. The former is a precursor to the latter. 2.
