Norton will give moderate hitters a tough fight but seemed easily overwhelmed by killer punchers.

I think he’s technically great but not necessarily the greatest fighter IQ. He doesn’t adjust very well during fights.

@NemeanLion- exactly. Fight plan was the same every fight.

Norton didn't try to get on the proverbial bicycle after the first knockdown, the way that you are supposed to do and Jimmy Young did so brilliantly in his victory over Foreman. Instead he just walked back up to Foreman and started trading punches. Strange, even if he's had his bell rung one would think he knows better.

When Foreman hits him with an uppercut that lands flush, it's all over. No way to get your noodle back.

Kenny was a top level heavyweight, but he had trouble with punchers. Foreman, Shavers and Cooney.

Notice how FOREMAN menacingly walked up to NORTON right before the stoppage and just scowls at him.

Tell me, how did Foreman lose the Muhammad Ali … there’s something not right about that fight
@milojanis490113 күн бұрын
@williamca7067 Pretty simple. Ali had an iron jaw. He knew he could probably take Foreman's punches, Foreman would tire himself out, and he'd win. He really didn't KO Foreman, even though that is what history recorded it as. He exhausted him. That right that eventually floored Foreman would have hurt him to a point if it was in the 1st or 2nd round, but he would've recovered. When you're exhausted, it takes less to knock you down......

@@milojanis4901 Correct. And Ali knew that if he had fought foreman again, INSTEAD of OLD white dude Wepner, foremanwould have KILLED him

All the boxing skill in the world doesn't do any good if you let Foreman land a good right to your chin.

"Get Norton, cause I cannot do that" - Ali to Foreman. Nuff said. Tyson ain`t got nothing on Foreman.

complete annihilation. Norton was backing up right from the start of the fight and it was the death bell for what was coming.

I think Ken Norton was technically superior to Ali, but he wasn’t a great “fighter”. Ali had all the intangibles, along with tremendous speed and an iron chin. He didn’t adjust well to adversity.
