It's a particularly sad day when you can't go to your mother's grave and leave alive. That police sketch made me scared.... his eyes were not naturally wide. It makes me wonder if he got a wide eyed look that overcame his face when he was committing all of his crimes. The whole encounter must have been terrifying for Diane. So glad her son came home when he did.

I do not think he was scared of the little boy. Him showing up was unexpected and he had to change his plans. He probably did not want to harm/kill him or just did not want the chance of getting caught. It takes more time to kill one person than two with the wrapon he used.

Derrick Todd Lee died at 47 while on death row on Dec. 21, 2016 of heart disease. He sat on Angola's death row for roughly 16 years before dying… where all his appeals presented to the courts were shot down very quickly. His victims families didn't get the injections they were waiting for, but did gain comfort in knowing he never again could hurt another female and comfort in just knowing that he was dead.

Idk what I would do if something happened to one of my sons. Its every good parent's worst nightmare. When I lost my mom at 18 I thought nothing could be worse. Until I had sons. Now I know as bad as that was, there's something worse and I hope I never know the feeling. 🙏🥺 Prayers for all who've lost children and loved ones. It hurts so bad for so long, but somehow you keep putting one foot in front of the other and keep going. I know our loved ones would want us to go on and be happy, live our best lives in their memory. ❤

Yes, it's best not to let your imagination go there. I watched an episode earlier that was the worst case scenario of this. A man survived the horrors of the Vietnam war & came home, only to be poisoned to death by his wife 4 months after getting back. To think your son is finally safe & sound in the bosom of his family & have him die shortly after would be devastating. Then, years later, when the pain might be beginning to ease, you find out the person who should have been 2nd only to you when it came to loving & protecting him had actually stolen his life from you. I can't even begin to imagine how the poor guy's mom survived & kept going after that.
@animerlon
@animerlon Жыл бұрын
@@broeheemed32 Fathers absolutely matter, but you have to acknowledge that there is an extra connection between mother & child that a father doesn't experience. Growing a child inside you for 9 months, followed by the act of bringing a new life into the world, only to have that life destroyed by someone, will produce emotions a father just can't experience. In relation to the OP though, as the other commenter said, her comment was reflecting her personal perspective as a mom & was not being exclusive.
@broeheemed32
@broeheemed32 Жыл бұрын
@@animerlon "Extra connection", huh? Like Diane Downs, who shot her children because her "new boyfriend" didn't want kids? Like Debora Green, who torched her house with her children in it to "get back at" the ex-husband who didn't want HER any more? Like SUSAN SMITH? I could go on and on and on and on..... there are more examples than I could count. Get over yourself. The reason that women have an "extra connection" is because courts routinely give them 100% custody, so they keep the children away from their father out of spite.... so many children grow up never knowing their fathers.

This case reminded me of the DC Sniper case. Everyone was looking for a white box truck. 1000's of police hours were spent questioning drivers of white box trucks. When the killers, who happened to both be black men, were caught they were driving a Chevrolet Caprice. They did not have an accomplice in a white box truck. White box trucks are common. Not as common as a white truck being driven by a white guy, but still common.

Why people open their doors without asking who is knocking or looking through a peek hole??? And if your door doesn’t have a peek hole, find someone who can open one but for Christ’s sake, STOP OPENING YOUR DOORS! Your life might depend on who is in between your door and you. I never open my door, I look through the window first. And I don’t care if it is a police officer, or a priest, the cable guy , etc. etc. NO! I still will not open my door and look through the window to know who is there. I will not take a chance especially where my life is concerned. That said, Dr. Tony Frudakis is brilliant! Wow! He knew how to know the race of a criminal with a test. Very impressive work what he did who made other investigators’ mouth dropped. Kudos to him, I applaud him for a job well done 👍 👍🙌🙌👏👏👏👏👏

Pam didnt. her husband was a parapalegic so she kept the keys in the door so that he could get in the house easier. However, what's not mentioned is that Derrick Todd Lee was doing construction in the area across from her house and word was that Pam would wear revealing clothing to entice the guys in construction bc her husband wasnt really hitting it due to him being paralyzed and all. Derrick Todd Lee saw this and took his opportunity. Her death was most puzzling bc it was outside of his "deleting radius" if you know what i mean but this information explains the gap between her deletion and the rest of the women.

This killer just killed these 5 women being married and having 2 children. Wow. I guess he didn’t care who he killed as long as he killed women. May all these five victims rest In peace always 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I remember watching this episode with my dad in the room and he and my mom actually remember my dad being pulled over by the police because of this case. At the time, we lived in the Baton Rouge area (my mom is a native Louisianan, my dad isn’t), and my mom was a few months pregnant with me. Because the killer had mostly gone after white women with dark hair, my parents were nervous about being close to the city since my mom looked a lot like some of the victims. My dad was in his late 30’s at the time, and he was also bald, white, and around 200 pounds. The police were pretty much stopping anybody who had a white pickup because that was the vehicle they suspected the killer drove. They also suspected that the killer was a large white man aged 25-40. My dad says he was driving home from the drug store getting some medicine for my mom in his white pickup truck. The police, seeing the truck and stopping him, also noticed he fit the description of the killer. Thankfully, he has never had a criminal record and they let him go. When it was later revealed the killer was a black man, my dad couldn’t help but think how lucky he was that my mom wasn’t harmed (and by extension, me) and that he wasn’t detained or worse. It’s crazy how personal some of these cases can be, even if I wasn’t alive then, and I’m very glad the case was eventually solved.

I have no idea when this all happened. But I am positive that I was so close to being taken. My husband, daughter and myself were on a roadtrip from Texas to Florida. We stopped in Baton Rouge to stay the night at a hotel. I ran out to our car to get some things from the trunk of our car, not thinking there was any danger at 9pm. This car with two men pulled up close to me and said “hey what are you doing lady, come here we got something for you to see”. Being scared to death and not knowing what to do, I said in a very firm and loud but not screaming voice “NO NO NOO” and for whatever reason they got spooked and sped off. I don’t know if I was close to being abducted and who knows what or what!

Seeing the killer in action, with his strength, these Ladies had no chance to survive. He gain their trust and strike from behind and lift them off their feet, no way to fight with him, he's a coward These Demonic Killers like to strike, but see how fast he ran as he heard the son voice. He knew children don't play when someone is hurting their mom. He takes off cause he didn't want the son to hurt him! So sick, but he want to always Hurt and Kill!.

Pam's mom said Pam was faithful but that's not true at all. her husband was a parapalegic so she kept the keys in the door so that he could get in the house easier.

From living in the area when this happened and doing research, it was Dianne Alexander’s ID that broke the case. The DNA from her assault and sketch were released. Afterwards, a nearby police department recognized the man from the ID as a peeping Tom they had been in contact with. Following the ID from the photo lineup, and DNA all matching, they issued an arrest warrant for the assault and murders. Once he was arrested, they got a warrant for his DNA, and that matched all of the crimes. And that was that

This case like any other cases, proves once again that witnesses are not reliable when it comes to identifying criminals, it is DNA evidence what tells the truth. I am glad for Dr. Tony Frudakis finding out the try identity of this serial killer; had he not done that, Derrick Lee would have continued killing innocent women. Sad case where 5 people were killed, a true tragedy. And I agreed with way Pam Kinamore’s mother when she said her daughter was beautiful. Pam was indeed a true beautiful young lady who, like the others, was murdered by an evil and vile person. Rest in Peace always Pam and the rest of the victims 🙏💐
