I'm asking myself a similar question every hour of my life. First week we met I heard that he beaten his father using a pick axe handle, the father had a broken neck. But I continued with him without considering the fact that "He can hit his own father what about me"? A month later he started beating me for no valid reasons and closed my left eye, in three months I was pregnant and left the relationship emotionally. Sometimes we can be stupid as humans I attest. 😢

Unfortunately, domestic violence, over time, can mess with your sense of self and reality in awful ways. Having gone through it, I find it hard to recognise the person I became. The excuses I'd make, the blatant lies I'd swallow etc, etc. Marrying the man sentenced for killing your mother is another step beyond - all I can say is thank God he was caught and I really hope the whole family can heal.

Wow, that’s definitely some severe form of Stockholm syndrome. I know a woman whose abusive boyfriend went to jail for selling drugs (not even killing his gf’s mother like in this case) and the woman used that as an opportunity to run and disappear and leave the state. I couldn’t imagine marrying the man who killed my mother! Or a man who abused me and my children. Those poor children.

I would think the daughter would take her kids and cut ties with a man who not only was a twice over convicted murderer, but that her mother was one of his victims. He was locked away. And yet she married him. Something more to that situation. She had to know more about it or was involved. That man is a monster. Hope he stays right where he is. Away from the good people.

I don’t understand how Arlene’s daughter could marry the man who killed her own mother. It is truly nauseating and very disgusting. Either she was totally brainwashed by this perpetrator or this young woman’s mind was not right. When one person has total control over another, it is detrimental for the abused to gain independence and self respect. Most likely Arlene’s daughter had no self-esteem whatsoever to put up with this type of man. Sad story that ended in murder. May Arlene and Stephanie Rest In Peace always 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I was in an abusive relationship for nearly 10 years. I met gary in september 2004. We communicated by phone and i moved inwith him in february 2005. He was an alcoholic and a crack addict. I would leave him for a month or two when he wuld quit drinking and using crack. His family was toxic to him. He raped me repeatedly stold my car he had no license he stold my wallet and i had many exhausting nights without sleep . I also had to pay all the bills on disability income because he would owe his entire disability check to the drug dealer. I lived in darkness. God has healed my heart and given me peace. I left gary 9 years ago and i have forgiven him i think of the good times we had. Its sad that although all the evidence points to akley murderig her mother that his girlfriend still does not believe it. They got married. Great forensics against the killer. Rest in peace stephanie and arlene.

Why bother to marry the monster who killed her mother when he will be in prison without parole??? Makes no sense to me. But what I find most repulsive is the fact that this woman had the nerve to marry in prison the bastard that killed her own mother, that is beyond my comprehension. My my, the brainwashing this woman received from Gary Auckley did a number on her, not to say, this woman’s self esteem must have been extremely low to the point of non existent in her. The daughter might have married her mother’s killer because she knew of more crimes he’d committed & a wife can’t be forced to testify against her husband. He may have demanded she marry him or he’d arrange her murder from inside the prison. OR she didn’t want her kids to be bastards. OR (most likely) she had little ability to think & lost the little she did have to his continual abuse.

Until you have lived through either a physical or a mental abuse or both, you can never truly understand why someone like this woman would marry her abuser/mother's killer. I feel so sorry for her because she lost the one person who tried to help her, her mother. Unless there is another family member or a close friend who could try and get her counseling, or she realizes what is happening to herself, she will be lost to that monster. I am as frustrated as everyone is about the situation, but please don't be too hard on her. She has been brainwashed and doesn't know she needs help. Why are these killers always so lazy? Dude could've took a shower and put on new clothes without metal fragments, They sell cheap tarps at the dollar store, and then to dump her in field a mile away? Like nobody's ever going to find her?

You have to be pretty bad with money to be relegated to smoking Basic cigarettes. This guy was so obtuse that he didn’t even flush the toilet to get rid of his Basic Butts. He had a contraption designed to dispose of evidence and he still didn’t use it.

Besides that the man killed her mother, why would you marry someone that is serving a life sentence?

Julie had to be out of her mind to marry Gary, that lunatic. And to kill Stephanie, when HE had to spill his guts to her. She did absolutely nothing to deserve to be murdered. Well, neither did Arlene for that matter. As far as Julie, Gary killed her mom, and it seems a certainty to me that she she surely must know this. So for her to marry him, I feel sorry that she also was probably led around by the nose, but if she loves Gary, they deserve each other. Sorry to say that but..wake up Julie. You know what Gary did

Why people put up with emotional abuse and domestic violence is beyond me. They need to learn to understand that they are valuable and important. These abusers are trash! Period.

@divinewon73

The show also has plenty of murders, shootings, rapes and other violent behavior from Texas, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and plenty of other locations… The lack of reasonable background checks on gun cells, allowing guns to be carried without license or restriction, allowing “semi automatic“ gun which are only made to kill people and large capacity magazines being allowed to be sold anywhere is facilitating the mass shooting scene in the US every day…🤮🤮🤮

He put a blue jacket on her before he put her in the car ? She went to bed with a blue jacket on ? ..
@divinewon73
@divinewon73 Жыл бұрын
The blue jacket was probably a cover-up situation in a couple of aspects… One, cover her face because the killer does not want to see her face. Two, provide her with a jacket so if police are not looking closely when they pulled him over with his mother-in-law in the backseat, the murderer can say she fell asleep in the backseat and is wearing her jacket. Perhaps…🤔
