David Davis died in prison in 2014. He had to face a higher court after that. Michigan has never really had the death penalty to speak of. It became a state in 1837 with the death penalty but abolished it in 1845.

David Davis died in Nov 9 2014 at age 70 in prison. Shannon's mom died in 2008 at 80 and her dad at 85. Dick Britton died at the age of 82 in 2021. At least we had him for some time.

This is such a sad story. She was only 26. She never got to have her two dreams realized She got to be a nurse but not a mom. She trusted this evil monster who murdered Shannon for money. Losing a child is very painful no matter how old they are. I feel their pain. I lost my youngest daughter to cancer 23 years ago. The only way I accept this loss is I know brooke was lent to me for a short time and she was a gift from god. She wad never mine. Condolences to her parents. Rest in peace shannon.

The David Davis , AKA Albert Johnson Walker case, was as close to a perfect crime as there ever was. Really much closer than this case. If those investigators had not also gone to the wrong house by mistake, and discovered he had been using the dead man's identity, the death would have been ruled an accident.

I knew from the crime scene this was no accident. truthfully the ONLY part of his story of what happened that COULD HAVE possibly been true was the horse becoming spooked by something. But even if that HAD happened the odds of her just happening to fall close enough to that rock to actually strike her head in a way that would have caused serious injury is possible but VERY VERY UNLIKELY plus had she fallen from her horse she wouldn't have been laying like that, she would have been laying in a way that it would have been obvious she had in fact fallen.

I study whilst watching Forensic Files ....I work well too....lt kind of feels like l am multitasking....❤️❤️❤️❤️...solving murders whilst getting my degree...😂😂😂😂...A sick part of me was like ' Please make more seasons ...' but then l thought ...that is praying for people to die .....but seriously ...l love how trace evidence will tie people to a crimes they never thought would be solved....and it gets way interesting when they tell the accused what happened as if they were there...

As usual, someone who is looking out for their friend is the key to solving the case. Good old detective work by closing cases that are screaming foul play. Really gullible woman. I mean kind of homely, she is at a modest wedding, and meets a millionaire that immediately wants a relationship. Yea, Millionaires don't go to weddings to hook up with lower quality women. Just sad nobody could spot him being a liar from the start. I guess they were soo happy she found a man finally nobody wanted to ruin it for her.

I'm glad they got him but what kind of privilege did her parents have to just asked the state Attorney General to reopen the case, and it was done. I don't see that happening for just any ole family.

I understand why you would think that way, but a little persistence can go a long way in the world of government. They couldn't get justice from the local jurisdiction so they went higher up. Cheers!
