Have you ever considered other forensic applications such as toolmark,footprint, tyremark etc. as an old crime scene examiner it seem to me a very useful technology to explore.

Hi Warren, yes 3d scanning could be used on other forensic applications as well. It is done a lot with laser scanners. A crime scene is scanned in its entirety and then the crime digitally "reenacted" in the real 3d environment.

why 3 people disslike that vid :hmm: Thanks Swann for interesting video. Sad that test results was revealed in so plain way. I wish to see more "and how we are certain of that?" because i saw graph, i saw 3D model and heard that color can be compared.

Were the 3 different rounds fired from the same brand of rifle. Due to modern manufacturing process of the firing pin, it may not be possible to attach the cartridge to one particular rifle !
