Foreo UFO DIY Masks

What’s up. I’m Rachel and this is my first video. Please enjoy this quick money saving DIY for your Foreo UFO. It’s one of my favorite gadgets for skincare. I think the entire concept of the UFO is amazing with the exception of the actual masks. I don't particularly care for the single use foil packaging and this quick DIY is one way to eliminate the foil packets.

I just run the device over my normal face sheet mask several times. does the same thing. the foreo sheet masks actually over laps the led light portion so the light penetrates the sheets just fine. I have also purchased a large pack of sheet mask (lululum) and used that cut up roughly (2 pieced for forehead, can get about 2-3 per cheek area) at first but found that unnecessary since it works just as well over a normal sheet mask. the price foreo charge for the sheet mask is crazy!! you can also further customize your led/heat/cool/vibration manually under settings so you don't have to rely on just the day/night setting.

Thank you for the in depth info!! I've been trying to find out if it works with other masks.. I swear by the lululun masks and was wondering if it would pair well with those and other sheet masks too. I couldn't really find much info about the customized settings, some people even mentioned that that feature on the app wasn't there anymore but those were old reviews.. good to know! :)

The best thing I have heard that works, though I haven't tried it myself yet, is to go online and get the compressed natural cotton face masks. It comes in a compressed tiny thick round. You mix it in a bowl with what you would like to use, serums etc, then it swells up to normal size. It unfolds into a face mask shape. You just cut out the size for applying to ufo. They are actual masks so they are not too thick, and a good natural mask material. I've seen several people use them. Just have not bought any to try myself, bc yes the material for masks are cheaper, BUT how cheap is it really when you are using serums etc to add to replicate the masks. Good idea though.

I have tried many of their masks, and found best one for me is youth junkie. and price is actually similar to other sheet masks, you just have to buy a pack of 6 or 7 at once so it seems like more. but also I use my foreo ufo mask 2 times, I save the essence in it, return the mask in the sachet, put in the fridge and use the other side in a few days... so 2 uses makes it very i am also just lazy to cut my own masks and take advantage of taking bundles of foreo masks where I save a lot and just use original ones :D

@@alanmontero6920 I like to think I put mine in the fridge in a zip lock bag, bc I feel like it retains the moisture better than possibly drying out some.

Hello Rachel. Amazing idea! I also saw the DIY with dry sheet masks from Aliexpress. Do you have some more tips for what to soak the DYI mask? What is your experience with green tea, you mentioned in the video? Thank you

mamahu11 ❤️🥰 the masks are CRAZY expensive. It’s by far the biggest drawback of the device. I have a new UFO tutorial coming soon! 🥰😘

Did you notice that smell with regular UFO masks? If yes then it’s normal (maybe cause you’re male / facial hair?). If you DIDNT smell it with the originals then maybe bad idea. Stop. 😂😅

you probably need to soak the sheet with serum before popping it in. I suspect it's the heating element over the dry tissue.

Have you tried using the round cotton pads? Seems perfect for the size of the ufo.

They’re just slightly too thick to fit under the tension ring.

@@RachelR272 yup, i saw that too when I tried today! Because I couldn't fit it in the ring, I split the cotton pad. Good thing it still didn't break even with the solution while rubbing on my face. I just hope that it is still effective.
