I have a favorite tree in my local park. Think it's time to say hello to my old friend again. 🌲

How has this got so few views? It's something I've always done but never understood why it worked so well. This makes so much sense of why I feel boosted by time alone fishing and camping all these years.

I want Alex to know that at the time I watch this video I was very relaxed and I actually fell asleep I don’t know what the sound of his voice stage but it actually put me to sleep and I believe in nature and force building and that we need to protector for us if we want this kind of thing is kind of therapy to continue

I loved this. I've been studying Shinrin Yoku for a while now and have always loved the outdoors. I was a little disappointed to see in the video the wearing of masks outdoors. Before folk get all sideways with me, social distancing would have been better in my humble opinion. After all, we are trying to build our immunity and NK cells, and by breathing in the phytoncites is a huge part of that... I see the masks as a barrier, and they don't help support immunity. 🙏

I love Dr. Qing Li at the beginning part of the video just after the first minute mark! Thanks for crediting him, as he wrote the book on forest medicine and taking in the atmosphere of the forest... :)

2022 has been harder on me mentally than the first few months of the pandemic. I’m seriously considering a week + long camping solo trip to take a good long bath and cleanse myself from the last 2 years. I really hope it works to getting me back to my normal and true self.

What a WONDERFUL piece of serenity and knowledge at the same time, it all comes back to me about how essential it is to simply have a walk on a thick forest for me. I want to share this lifechanger approach with everyone!!

Really enjoyed this video, thanks so much! "Forest Dwelling" is called Vanaprastha in Sanskrit, and thousands of years old. The word Vana means forest. Both the a vowels are short. The 'pras' is pronounced to rhyme with truss, and the th in 'tha' is as in thick with a little ha added. Anyhow, several years of Vanaprastha was considered the third stage (called Ashrama, pronounced aash-rum-uh) of life. The first stage is that of childhood reaching to maturity, called Brahmacharya. The second, Grishastha or that of domestic and working life. After the third stage of Vanaprastha, comes the final stage of Sanyasa (sun-yaa-sa) in which the person reveals to the community what all s/he learned during the forest dwelling stage. The Buddha is said to have attained enlightenment sitting right beside a Peepal tree, the sacred Fig tree. (Ficus Religiosa). Greenery is very much alive and conscious!!! I believe that greenery radiates unconditional love and healing, explaining the dramatically improved immune response that is demonstrated and documented as noted in the video. I think trees love to be loved, and give love and healing in return.

Talking to the tree...is that part of the Shinrin-Yoku practice? Or was it just added by Christy's program?

One correction - trees and plants produce phytoncides not "fighting sides"; antimicrobial volatile organic compounds.
