When i heard that child excitedly announce "a ladybug!", I felt genuine gratitude for nature and children. Thank you for existing ❤

This was common knowledge when I was a young child - born 1957. The Drs prescription for us when we were sick was to go outside as soon as possible.

I I’ve in a high rise apartment block but I’ve surrounded myself with pot plants and an indoor fountain. I burn incense and candles and don’t have a television. My apartment feels soothing and lovely.

We called it getting fresh air when I was younger.

Yeah,that's what it was called when I was a kid...sadly people are so surgically attached to their smartphones and other tech that they don't think about getting outside and just be in the moment,someone has to tell them...it's sad really...

It isn't the same as just getting fresh air. I exercise outdoors daily and it's not the same as forest bathing. Forest bathing has no destination or goal, unlike hiking or exercising. It's more like meditation.

Getting fresh air... but in nature instead of concrete.
@elpanderohabanero29152 жыл бұрын
@@headphonic8 Well getting fresh air can be just sit at park bench and immerse yourself in sounds, sight etc of nature, no need for goal.

Re-connecting with nature is one of the most powerful things you can do for a healthy mind. 😊 It's so easy, there is no right and wrong, just get out and explore wherever and whenever you can!

Being one with nature, we don’t need anyone to tell us how to do it. Just go out in it. Commune with it
@AtlasVistas2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely, stop worrying about right and wrong. Just get outside and explore at your own pace.

In Norway we just call this walking in nature.........or TUR....something that is deep rooted in our culture.
@sunshinemishasmommy53526 жыл бұрын
That's lovely...but sadly most here in the US are so glued to their cell phones and other tech that they don't take the time to get out like that and just be present...I try to do that as often as I can,because I love being outdoors...the US is backwards in alot of ways

Here in the Pacific Northwest, U.S., lots of Norwegian descendants and non-Nordic people love to get outdoors, hike, ski, etc. in our mountains and nature.

Instead of dwelling where only the works of men can be seen, where the sights and sounds frequently suggest thoughts of evil, where turmoil and confusion bring weariness and disquietude, go where you can look upon the works of God. Find rest of spirit in the beauty and quietude and peace of nature. Let the eye rest on the green fields, the groves, and the hills. Look up to the blue sky, unobscured by the city’s dust and smoke, and breathe the invigorating air of heaven. Go where, apart from the distractions of city life, you can give your children your companionship, where you can teach them to learn of God through His works and train them for lives of integrity and usefulness.-The Ministry of Healing, 366, 367 (1905).
