FOREST ESSENTIALS 24k Gold Cream & Sunscreen - Worth your money?

As someone who has used lods of forest essential products here are my thoughts: Soundarya cream and serum : absolut no Sandalwood Mysore and Jasmine night cream: I bought each once and felt it was worth. My skin was moisturised thru the night and the experience was definitely luxurious. Their body products are amazing! Body washes, lotions , butters and scrubs. But are they worth the high price tag? I guess nahh i have stopped buying them when I could buy similar products in a much lesser price. Lip balms: same thought as jovita Lip scrub : not bad but I never got another tub I use my toothbrush and it gives the same results. Ubtans: total yes! I saw a remarkable difference with regular use especially with the Tejaswi one. Yes we can make a similar formulation at home at a lesser cost, but something about the quality of powders used in this ubtan actually makes it worth. Tejasvi emulsion : from my mom’s vanity , tried to use it a few times and it made me break out badly. I forgot what it is actually called but there’s this cleansing paste made up of almonds. I remember loving it, it’s like a physical exfoliator and it left my skin so smooth soft and hydrated!

Though at this point I have stop believing in face mists especially the rose ones. It doesn’t really do anything for the skin according to me , it’s the experience and feel of using this expensive water to refresh the skin that made me buy these, same goes while using in DiYs. It doesn’t really do anything for the price we pay in the long term. Just my thoughts !

I had the 24k Gold Serum three years ago and I used it up to the last drop faithfully... frankly not really faithfully, just I didn't want to feel completely ripped off. It didn't do anything for my skin, well, at least not anything more than any more affordable Kumkumadi Tailam without Gold. They're really just selling the fantasy of reveling in the idea that you're wealthy enough to rub gold on your face. I like the coconut sunscreen for the smell and being relatively non-oily. I have no clue if it really helps, cause the amount of real time I spent in the actual sun in 2020 was... let's put it that way... i needed to take vitamin D supplements for some time... so that's that. But it's a solid product I'd say. Their hair-oils... meh... okay... but also not better than many cheaper options. The only things I found worth the money by Forrest Essential so far are the Body Mists (they really smell nice and have good sillage), the orange lip balm (the rose one tastes and smells like accidentally eating some old school lipstick) and generally their smaller trial gift sets. And the sun screen. Frankly, I don't really see Forrest Essentials as a brand anyone will really consistently by products for themselves from. It's really mostly when you want to gift someone something obviously a bit pricey which can also be used up. Basically 'Here, please receive this overprized gift set from me, which you may or may not like, but either you or you with the help of the other women in your household will use it up and regardless of if you liked it or not, at least you know I was willing to spend that kind of buck on you.'

I am a religious user of Forest Essentials for many years now! Soundarya Radiance Cream is my savior..My skin was extremely dry and flaky.. This cream has literally done wonders to my skin... nourished and over the years I noticed improvement in my skin tone too! Lip Balm, yea even I don't think it's worthy....

Hi Jovita, This sunscreen has avobenzone which doesn't make the sunscreen organic or clean as forest essentials claims it be. The same ingredient is also found in less expensive sunscreens which block sunlight similiar to the way forest essentials sunfluid will. Also please take it as constructive criticism it's okay to be a "old lady". I don't think it's fair to measure a product basis on how "old" they make you feel. Old people are awesome!

It was just a joke on the scent and the exorbitant price. Ofcourse old lady’s are amazing. My mom and grandmom whos 90 are my favorite people on this planet. People should stop being this sensitive. Also, if 2020 taught me anything, it’s that regular folks like you and me don’t know as much about a singled out ingredient as a formulator. So I’m not grotesquely demonizing any single ingredient like some people do on KZbin anymore.

Forest Essentials has always been the most coveted brand for luxury skincare, but underneath it all, someone needs to talk about the hype and the value for money. Loved your video like always, keep them coming! P.S: I’ve tried the delicate saffron cleanser & their advanced eternal youth formulae, both from Forest Essentials , didn’t do anything for me. The luxury feeling fades away after a couple of uses, while I was left with a hole in my pocket and no visible results on my skin except for great fragrance every time, and I don’t see myself repurchasing them ever.

I am using the Soundarya radiance cream from the last four years and everyone sees the difference on my skin. Plus a tub lasts u a good six months... serum gave me breakouts but the cream is something one must try... ( not recommended for acne prone skin)

Totally agree with you on this, Jovita. So many people don't understand why we need preservatives in a product. Don't want to even start on phenoxyethanol vs parabens. For those who don't read packaging on medicinal/pharma products, parabens are the most common preservative. You look gorgeous and are brutally honest as always 😍😍

PS: Is it just me or is the sunscreen just a more expensive version of Earth Rhythm's Sun fluid which, has the same name, spf, pa rating as well as tender coconut water and zinc oxide. Kinda weird but their ingredients list has differences in it.

Most of the forest essentials products are over priced. You can look at their aloe vera gel which is too overpriced, you can get the same type from other brands at a much lesser price. Of course they are made of quality ingredients but overpriced

I have used their Soundarya moisturizer, loved it. I finished I think 2-3 dabbas during the time I was having a very flaky skin, it worked wonderfully. I've also used their rose gel and Rosewater, rose gel I love, the rosewater thing is... Just fragranced water I felt. I have used it for a while just because of the smell and when used together those two feel great on the skin. Used their lip balm, and have to agree with Jovita. Also, used their face washes (kashmiri saffron one) - LOVED it. I still use it. It cleanses your skin perfectly, doesn't over-dry your skin. Also, you need very less quantity. A big one lasted me around 1.5-2 months.

The most irksome thing about forest essentials is that they don't give us the COMPLETE INGREDIENT LIST ever. Not on the packaging...not on the website...and not even on emailing them and asking for it. It passes me off. If I'm paying so much for an item, I have the bloody right to know what exactly is in there. Not just the "key ingredients"

Love the lip balm. Hands down the best. Glides like butter and feels instant relief, especially with chapped lips. However, the packaging is horrendous. If you have acrylic nails, it's a nightmare to open this. I transferred mine into a little jar. But love the product

My mom bought this Soundarya cream literally 5 times before realising it doesn’t do anything! I tried it a few times it doesn’t work for me... makes my super dry skin feel greasy not hydrated. Sits badly under makeup and makes my face sweat. Would not recommend at all. Also used the serum from the same range, same thoughts.

I have used their face wash and ubtan..for ubtan I would say It was okayish like any other ubtan. I didn't see any drastic change Infact I like myoho ubtan and the tribe concept mask more than FE. Face wash is also okayish but I like Kama ayurveda ka face wash more than FE 😅😅

Love the review Jovi... Over scented lip products feels me like I have eat something and the smell not going away, very weird thing and also I agree about the hygiene concern for lip balm pots... Even if I m at home I still don't like use my fingers to apply lip balm...I feel, no offence..but being an Indian brand/product forest essential is very very pricey, yaa I now all the ayurveda, luxury things, but still, if the majority of the country people can't afford it so what's the point?
