Thanks Jase and much appreciated. I'm a 75 year old living on the Coro Peninsula and recently bought an e-MTB. A friend living in Rotorua wants to take me round the Loop and seeing your video has steadied my nerves to a large extent! Cheers, Geoff

You will be great Geoff, just stop for coffee half way. It has also seen a few improvements since this video.

See my comment, go for it. 4hr round trip from the thermal holiday park, plenty of stops to admire the view

Great video, partner and I have just done the track on Tuesday, absolutely brilliant. At 65 I was on my Wattwheels bighorn, my partner ,a few years younger on a melo yelo town and country

Grand! Thanks for the video, I now know what I am in for this Friday hehe. I liked how you kept trying to pronounce the Maori names haha, well done :)
@jaselikesbikes3 жыл бұрын
I am so bad at the names I am afraid! The signs are now much better and the trail beside the green lake has now opened up so you get more fun single track and the views are stunning. So a great improvement.

Great video, did Waipa to the New hub yesterday, got lost a couple of times so turned around and headed home via Red Tank, now we could do the whole thing thanks to you. Great track for fitness.

Yes it is good.Just the 7km next to SH5 would be good to avoid.

Agrees Rhys. I think I will keep doing it as a fitness loop minus the cycleway.

Man I just got around to watching this; this looks like a blast! The part around 12:15 is basically my dream; that looks so fun.

Thanks Justin. There are many more of those trails in the Whakawerawera forest Aka Redwoods...... at least another 100km.

@@jaselikesbikes No. Ended up calling around and visiting a few shops, they (politely) told me more or less to come back in July. Ended up hopping on FB Marketplace and I found a 2019 Fuel EX 7 for just over half the new price. I'm driving up an hour to pick it up tomorrow. Assuming all looks good, that looks to be the one! Trail geo, NX 12sp, etc. I know it's no XX1 monster, but I think it's a good all-rounder for me right now. Who knows, I'm sure I'll eventually get more 😅

Sounds perfect Justin. I was going to mention second hand.... you can always upgrade parts when they wear out. Enjoy!

Just found your channel. Not really considering that loop but it looks like a good ride to work on the fitness. I like the map graphics. What did you use to do them?
@jaselikesbikes3 жыл бұрын
Hi Lance. Thanks! Yes the loop is not that Technical so it wouldn’t suit dads army. The graphics are from the relive app. No doubt I will bump into you in Auckland or the Redwoods Sometime.
