Te Poaka is a super fast Grade 3 in the trees. It's a really good alternative to Hot X Buns that takes you to the exact same spot at the bottom. This is about as fun as a footpath gets but may the beginner be wary - you easily gain a lot of speed! The crew from Empire did a great job with this new build! Another goodie in the redwoods! This is a top-to-bottom video following Bradley from Kaituna Kayaks (a local who also does some guiding with us) down the trail.

Great video. Scouting by trip from the US for next year, Rotorua is definitely on the list. This might be the nicest looking trail I've ever seen, especially since I look for fast and flowy!

Hey Bobby! Yes, it is on the map. It is at the top of Direct Rd and/or the climbing trail called Apumoana.

Luckily the Emergency Response Team is at the bottom of this track as I think it is going to claim a few victims :) It is easy to go too fast on this one

Free speed!! Yea the Rotorua Mountain Bike Club's first response unit (0800WHAKA1) is such a good resource that we have in the forest! Hopefully this track doesn't keep them too busy - take it easy out there!
