Is it wrong to want to mimic this lifestyle? Living so close to the DC, Baltimore, and Philly metro areas contradicts my Tennessee /country boy roots and whenever I watch these guys cook, I'm taken right back to the mini-farm at my grandma's house. I've chopped the head off a chicken, cut wood, cracked the skull of a hog, and gutted rabbits, fish, and squirrels. So, I get and appreciate the organics. I love the sounds and smells of the woods. Not so sure about the reason for the anonymity but I kinda want to know where and who these guys are. I want chickens and an owl in my back yard. My gut tells me you guys are cooking outside the U.S. and are of Norwegian or Finnish decent. Am I wrong?

Maybe I can help. They recorded all those short movies in Central Serbia. For ingredients - honestly, it is not problem :-). In Serbian villages, especially in smaller villages, you can still find a lot of old-school older people who grows everything for their own needs. For instance: You cannot buy 100 eggs, but 10-ish you can find easily ... also it is easy to find (in hills / mountains) and buy old-school house with some land around and also old style equipment for working on land and breed pigs, cows, hens ( ... ) for really funny amount of money (few thousand euros). Forget about western style farms - those animals eat grass, leaves, home-made :-) corn ... and one cow cannot give you thousands liters of "plastic-antibiotic" milk :-( , but very few. Everyday I see people commenting here about making money, opening restaurants with those guys ... people just don't get it, and have no idea about that part of Serbia. No way that anybody would come there and make money or big business or anything similar. Those guys are having fun, enjoying life :-) and collecting some money from donations and selling some knives (very few, they have no machines - knives are handmade). I saw somewhere that they answered to someone in Serbian that they are slowly collecting money for new camera and that actually no one believe them that they were recording all those videos in 1k resolution (I hope I remember this part good).
