This lecture deals with trigonometrical principles based instruments to measure tree height. Blume-leiss Altimeter is user friendly hypsometer for measuring tree height at horizontal distance from tree base at 20 and 30 meters.

Great Dr. Sb I made another Short formula.. for memorizing Trigonometric formulas: measurement of (PH) at Breast Height (BH) in Punjab (PB) Its obvious first is: 1). SIN (PH): Perpendicular/Hypotaneous 2). COS (BH): Base/Hypotaneous 3). TAN (PB): Perpendicular/Base. In short PH (SIN): COSEC (HP) BH (COS): SEC (HB) PB (TAN): COT (BP)
