This is perfectly timed--I just promised my 5 year old I'd paint a t-Rex, but I had no idea what to do for a background. I'm totally doing it on this!! Thank you!

Lovely Jane, you said some words that made me feel so much better. You said that sometimes it is good to paint "easy" to regain our confidence. I had bollixed up 4 paintings in a row. And, it made me so very sad and frustrated. My frustration blocked my creativity. So, your words made me feel better. thanks! love, maureen

It is Beautiful. I loved it.. This tutorial took me back to my childhood memories. I remember my father asked me a question about colours.. he asked 'Which color has numerous tones in the nature' I janswered without hesitation' Green' in a second. He was so proud and i was so happy. I was nearly 10 years old. That was very important day for me. I loved to watch him while he paints and crazy about oil paint smell. R.I.P my dear Father

I haven't been painting as much as I used to due to depression, and I just wanted to say thank you for uploading these videos. They are wonderful, and I have been watching them for inspiration, and it's very therapeutic for me right now, going through a rough relationship split. Thank you Jane, I hope I can find the courage to paint again soon!

Thanks so much Jane, I really appreciate having a beginner's tutorial. My 'Painter's Brain' is developing at a much faster rate than my 'Painter's Hands', so I need to do many more of the simpler tutorials to practise my brush control. It gets very dull just practising brush-strokes in my art book.

As usual Jane awesome painting. I was wondering could I add a bird or a birds' nest in one of the trees that is not in the forefront of this painting? What do you think? Maybe a red bird that goes great with green and gold, or a nest in the tree with burnt umber. OOH!!!! The possibilities are endless. I think you are awesome as well as creative Jane. (THANK YOU!!!)
