ONLY animal that i am LOUD around in N. America is around bears...."HEY BEAR" ... nothing like surprising and spooking a bear to piss them off to tear you up. Bear bears do charge; personal experience..... of course i won.

Did you put a grizzly in the thumbnail? Haha. Cool video though. I noticed your breathing rate increased when you caught up to the bear. It's definitely a bit of a rush. I saw my first black bear in Sequoia/Kings Canyon and it was a wonderful experience 🤙🏼

Yes I did, didn’t have a clear video screenshot so I made it. Thank you though! It was definitely an adrenaline rush. My first bear encounters in my life were up in Sequoia/Kings as well as a kid ☺️

LOL, that is one of my biggest hurdles at the moment. Seeing the wildlife before the wildlife sees you. I need to practice my camoflaging skills a bit. Mostly w birds. We are fortunate enough to have lots of black bears in FL. I've had my share of encounters, lol. That little one was really close to you. Thankfully, w black bears, they stumble upon you more than they track you. Just have to see them first. One day, I will get to that level, lol

I am current OM-1 and GH6 user. G9 II is basically all I wanted from both of these two cameras in one body so I plan to upgrade at least from the GH6. However I already have Olypus 100-400mm lens with MC-14. From all the tests it is optically superior to Panasonic Leica 100-400mm, so I have no intention to switch lenses. I wonder if you would be able to test Olympus 100-400mm lens on G9II. IS performance is something that interest me the most.

The oly 100-400 doesn't support sync IS, even on olympus bodies. So it would be the same regardless of the body

That’s awesome! Yea from the GH6 unless you need long recording times the G9II is definitely an upgrade. In regards to the lens I don’t have a Olympus 100-400 on hand so unfortunately I can’t make that test, however, the new generation Panasonic 100-400 that released 2 weeks ago might be better than that Oly 100-400… just a thought, but I have no evidence for that as no one has done a side by side between the two yet that I’m aware of. In regards to image stabilization the G9II does beat out the OM1 in body stabilization as I think was already hinted in a previous comment, and since the Oly 100-400 doesn’t support sync it should be the same result as I mentioned in my review. So if you haven’t seen that I’d recommend going and checking my official review out ☺️

@@JeremyNeipp PanaLeica 100-400mm II has exactly the same optical formula as previously. They just implemented zoom limiter so that you could fit TC. And since it was directly compared to Olympus 100-400mm by Mathieu from Mirrolessons there is no doubt it is optically inferior.
