Remember…it’s never “just a Robin” or “just a Killdeer” like someone said last May. 😂 Another excellent video, Beau. I’m very happy for you. 😎

Yesss another video🙌🏻 It is very rainy here in Hamburg/Germany lately, but your last video about photography in the rain motivated me to go out as well. And I saw and photographed a goldfinch for the second time ever, so thank you for this. Keep up with your cool videos

I’ve never been super into birding but I love photography so I clicked on the video and got excited when I heard you say you’re in michigan! Gotta love the beautiful nature we’ve got here! Excellent video. You do a great job explaining what you’re doing and sharing your knowledge of both birds and camera settings. I also appreciate adding all the photos in after each shot, helps me feel like i’m there! Keep up the good work!

Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed it! Working on a new video right now actually! I'm in Mount Pleasant, although I travel the lower peninsula a bit for the birds, probably more than I should! 😂 Where are you located?

@ I’m from saginaw! I’ve only gone birding once and that was on the au sable river- absolutely gorgeous area!

hello man love you content (keep it up) im thinking about swaping from the D750 to the D500 (averything is bether exept 4MP) do you think this is a good idea (im buy the nikkor 200-500mm f5.6 right after xmas, so it wil be after that
@birdswithbeau2 күн бұрын
Thanks! If your looking to mainly shoot birds and wildlife, the d500 is definitely a worthy upgrade. But if you are planning on shooting some casual wildlife/birds, but also landscape and portrait photography, then I would lean towards sticking with the d750. I've shot the 200-500 with both of those bodies and they both perform great. Going from the d750 to the d500, the biggest thing you will notice is the jump in your burst rate, (6.5fps to 10fps) and the endless buffer, which is awesome. Also the autofocus is significantly better than the d750. It's a bit hard to really know the difference until you've used both of them, but the d500 is a monster when it comes to birds in flight. Also the extra reach from the dx sensor is well worth the slightly worse high ISO performance and the 4mp drop (I have never really noticed a difference)

What's your lens setup? I opened your Flickr account and the lens written there was 200-500mm. that looks like a 500mm prime or a 600mm??? great video! Keep it up :D

Thanks! Yeah, I have been shooting the 200-500mm for a while, and just a few weeks ago I got the Nikkor 500 f4 vr, which I am loving!

@@birdswithbeau Same, I went on flickr and saw that the photos were from the 200-500, I looked at all the film and noticed that it was f/4 so I was betting on 500mm or 600mm f/4. You write that you love it so is it a step up in quality over the 200-500? Greetings.
@birdswithbeau6 күн бұрын
@ukasz7073 Yeah, the biggest downside is the weight, it's just shy of 12 pounds so it's a quite the unit to move around. The difference in quality is fairly big, although I think I would be able to take advantage of it more with a better body, ie. a Nikon Z8. The f4 definitely is worth it though, the bokeh is miles better and you get twice the light on your sensor, which is especially important shooting aps-c as I do. Thanks for watching!
