Thanks for reacting to Forestella, just some info about them, Bass Ko Woorim classical trained,on military service at the moment, Cho Mingyu classical trained Tenor, Bae Doo hoon Pop,rock musical actor and last but not least Kang Hyung ho counter tenor, rocker former chemical engineer no formal training for there own songs try White night or Utopia, they do their own songs, try Kang Hyung ho aka Pitta singing Phantom of the opera, good luck ❤

As you have probably already figured out, Forestella is definitely not K Pop, they are more of a classical/crossover group. You will notice that there are Dimash fans who are Forestella fans as well, ( Dimash is actually from Kazakhstan), the have many originals but I love Angel, absolutely beautiful. Thank you for your reaction! This is Forestella, a crossover group from Korea. They are the winner group in the Phantom Singer 2; an audition show to form a crossover quartet like il Divo from Korea. However, as they have their own unique style, they won't be Korean il Divo, they will be the Forestella of the world! Forestella has sung great covers like Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions, Hijo de la Luna, Heal the World, the Sound of Silence, My Favorite Things, Champions (mash-up of Champs league theme and Champions by Jo SuMi), Nella Fantasia, Scarborough Fair..etc etc. At the Phantom Singer All Stars they sang Time in a bottle, Je suis Malade as well. Shape of You in English, Spanish and African Zulu is fantastic indeed. You can even see them dancing singing Smooth Criminal as well! If you are a LOL fan, check their Warriors and Legends Never Die! And they broke the record of their own with EXO's MAMA winning 6 trophies for King of Kings in a row in Immortal Songs. Check their magnificent performances of Bad Romance and Lazenca Save us, Unwritten Legend and Despacito too. Forestella is a quartet of Ko WooRim (a classical bass, intense abyss-deep low tone), Kang HyungHo (an ex-research chemist, rock vocalist with soprano head voice falsetto), Cho MinGyu (a classical leggiero tenor, light boyish crystal clear tone) and Bae DooHoon (a musical actor, 159th King of the Masked Singers, emotion convincer good at R&B, Pop). Each has distinct tone and style of singing, different charm. But all of them are famous as practice-freaks. They meet almost everyday to practice together. In a radio program the leader (Cho MinGyu) revealed it would be around 20 days they didn't meet in the year. Bae DooHoon also said they don't meet 1~2 days in a month. Forestella first sang their version of Bohemian Rhapsody in the KBS Immortal Songs which is a kind of remake competition music entertainment show. It made them known to the world, and later they put it in their 2nd album titled Mystique. They had concert tour under the title Mystique. This video was filmed at the Mystique encore concert, the last of the tour. I prefer their Immortal Songs video because we can see their acting in the performance there. Here it's too dark to see it well.. I recommend Forestella Queen's best songs compilation video on KBS Jeonju channel. There are 2 more Queen renditions in addition to the very first performed Bohemian Rhapsody by Forestella.

@TheKillogicEffect I checked your playlist to recommend songs for you, I think you would like their Time in a bottle and Je suis malade. But please be extra-careful to avoid copyright block because JTBC is very strict copyright claimer. Better blur or darken, transparent it when you react to videos from Korean broadcast shows. Seems you like NightWish, you'll like the Phantom of the Opera by Kang HyungHo. He sang both parts of Christine and Phantom alone. My favorite piece from Cho MinGyu is la Balada para un Loco, a tango piece in Argentine accent. Maybe for English speakers, I recommend Be My Love by Cho MinGyu. Ko WooRim sang Arabian Nights from Disney Aladin as a soloist, I think Gethemane would show Bae DooHoon's prowess as a soloist and as a musical actor very well.

Woorim (deep voice) held a concert before his mandatory military service "Black". HyungHo (high voice) has a rock band "Pitta" Mingyu (tenor) has many solo pieces out on KZbin. Doo-hoon (baritone into tenor) is currently in S Korea production of "Rent". The only albums I know of are Forestella and Pitta.

Great reaction! Welcome to the world of Forestella . They are an incredible group. Very versatile crossover group. They sing multiple genres and also in many different languages. Every performance is unique and perfectly executed. Most of it live. Their original music video’s are also exceptional and unique. They are known as the kings of harmonies. They all have solo performances too. The members are 2 classically trained in SNU university Cho Mingyu ( Leader) with a legato tenor voice ; Ko Woorim with the Base voice ( Basso profundo) . The other 2 are not classically trained. Bae Doohoon Musical actor A baritenor ; Kang Hung Ho Was a chemical engineer with a garage band named PITTA. He is both a rocker and countertenor. All of them have a very wide vocal range and came together on the survival show Phantom Singer season 2.

Forestella is really cool!! They're classified as a crossover group, meaning they mix different musical styles, like classical opera, rock, pop, metal, and so many others. Forestella has numerous covers and originals. I suggest you check out some of their covers before checking out their originals. Choice depends on your personal taste. They have over 100 covers. Queen songs: … We are the champions Show must go on We will rock you Lady Gaga: Bad Romance For best harmonies:… Scarborough fair, Je suis Malade Time in a bottle, Inner Universe Recent member activities outside of Forestella. Kang HungHo just has a solo rock concert called Survival concert. Cho Mingyu had a concert called Mono Drama. Bae Doo Hoon had a lead role in the musical Rent. Ko Woo rim also had a solo concert prior to joining the military to fulfill the mandatory 18 month service. They did a US Canada tour in early 2023.

Kang Hyungho is not only a member of Forestella but also the frontman of the rock band pitta. He is a singer-songwriter and has the ability to write lyrics, compose, arrange, produce, and direct vocals. He composed Forestella’s ‘Snow Globe’ and arranged and directed the vocals. As a pitta, he has released several songs and albums that he wrote and composed himself, and the song he released this time called ‘Wave on the Sea(해무)’ is very impressive. ‘be free’ and ‘smog’ are also good. My personal favorite Forestella original is "White Night" followed closely by "Snow Globe". Kang Hyung Ho, the singer who hit the high note in the middle part, has some really wonderful solo stuff too. I love his cover of Teeth (5sos) but since you like original stuff I genuinely suggest "Carpe Diem", "Be Free", and his newest release "Wave on the Sea". Honestly I just suggest all of his solo stuff though 😅 Thank you for your reaction!

I was a fan of Queen from BEFORE they were famous. THIS is what Freddie had in his mind. He'd love they were able to do that middle section live. Queen left the stage and played a video, before coming back onstage with Brian playing his guitar. And, I'm going to say it.. As a mum, when Cho Mingyu sang "Mama just killed a man" it hit me harder than even Freddie. This isn't even Forestella's best performance. Totally different but for me "Je suis malade" is stunning 😭 Shape of you and Despacito are 😳😂 their Bad Romance is better than Gaga. Lazenca Save us is 😲 Time in a Bottle is beautiful. Sadly the guy with the Basso Profundo voice (Ko WooRim) is doing his Military Service, so they are a trio at the moment. They have just done "The Show must go on". Yes.. They have individual performances.

Don't know if you have heard of Chinese singer, Hua Chenyu. He grew up listening to Muse, Linkin Park, Radiohead and Rock/Metal is his core, but he does, Rap, Reggae, Pop, SynthPop, Electronic, Accoustic, Traditional Chinese, Broadway. He's a Composer, Music Arranger and multi instrumentalist. Just don't ask him to dance 😂 His "Illusion & Reality" is Muse-like. He has multiple versions of "Here we are" different, but all good. The usual intro to him is "Nunchucks" (not in my Top 60 Hua Hua Performances), but a good, fun intro to let you see some of the genres he does.

The 4 all have their own albums and are doing solo gigs at this time especially while Ko Woorim does his mandatory military service. No I misspoke, I have a whole playlist of him talking about exactly where he is from. Kazakhstan is in between China and Russia hence him being proficient in both languages and several others. My mouth was just moving faster than my brain and I didnt think it was that big of a deal especially where I was more referring to regions rather than specific countries. But you are correct and they have a lot to be proud of, Dimash is a very incredibly amazing singer!
