They are a team of the best people in their fields. First of all, two people who majored in classical training graduated from Seoul National University's vocal department and graduate school after going to an art high school. Two of them all won the best competitions in Korea, which means they have the best skills in classical music. There's something that Cho Mingyu said to Ko Woo-rim in the Phantom Singer competition' We need a new voice because we have similar classical voices. Kang Hyung-ho and Bae Doo-hoon, who have rock and popy vocalizations, were selected by Cho & Ko and became the current Forrestella. They can produce a wide range of sounds, and can perform various genres of music such as rock, musical, pop, as well as classical music. People who are already prepared. I look forward to their performance on the world stage

Here goes my long info text about Forestella. This is Forestella, a crossover group from Korea. They are the winner group in the Phantom Singer 2; a survival audition show to form a crossover quartet like il Divo from Korea. However as they have their own unique style, they won't be Korean il Divo, they will be the Forestella of the world! Forestella has sung great covers like Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions, Heal the World, the Sound of Silence, My Favorite Things, Champions (mash-up of Champs league theme and Champions by Jo SuMi), Nella Fantasia, Scarborough Fair..etc etc. At the Phantom Singer All Stars they sang Time in a bottle, Je suis Malade as well. Shape of You in English, Spanish and African Zulu is fantastic indeed. You can even see them dancing singing Smooth Criminal as well! And they broke the record of their own with Lazenca Save Us winning 4 trophies for King of Kings in a row in Immortal Songs 2! Forestella is a quartet of Ko WooRim (classical bass, intense abyss-deep low tone), Kang HyungHo (ex-research chemist & rock vocalist with soprano falsetto voice), Cho MinGyu (classical leggiero tenor, light boyish crystal clear tone) and Bae DooHoon (musical actor, one of the semi-finalists from Voice Korea 2, rough-textured husky tone with R&B, Pop groove). Each has distinct tone and style of singing, different charm. But all of them are famous as practice-freaks. Ko WooRim said they met more than 300 days together in Phantom Singer All Stars behind interview but in a radio program the leader (Cho MinGyu) revealed it would be around 20 days they didn't meet in 2020. So I think this explains how their perfection executed.

She has an amazing voice, and puts all of her heart into each of her performances. Her version of "You Raise Me Up", "Bridge Over Troubled Waters", and "I Have Nothing" is an impressive as it gets, and the list goes on and on...

They were individual competitors on a survival elimination show called "Phantom Singer" whose goal was to create a crossover vocal quartet like II Divo. They compete 1 v. 1, then the survivors move on to recruit for duos, then trios... and finally the Quartet. The guy 2nd from the right (Mingyu) won every round and that gave him the chance to recruit the others. Left to right Woorim - Classically trained Basso Profundo Hyungho - Rock Countertenor (zero training until he joined the group) Mingyu - Leader and Classically trained Leggiero Tenor (he and Woorim went to the same school) Doohoon - Musical Theater Actor, Baritenor They are lightning in a bottle. The show has turned out several great quartets, but none have the widespread appeal of Forestella. They continue to enter competitions, put out albums and even toured N. America last year. They intend to keep performing, but they are a man down for the next year+ as their Bass, Woorim, completes his Mandatory Military service. They have done everything from their original K-pop song, "Kool", to their new rock waltz, "Snow Globe" (which seems to be a fanciful retelling of them coming together as a team). They don't believe in genres and fear no style of song. Outstanding live performances to check out, Lazenca, Save Us (From the Space Rock Opera), Legends Never Die, Hijo de la Luna, Time in a Bottle, Bad Romance, Je Suis Malade, Gondre Mandre (Dead Drunk), and Despacito. For an extra treat, check out Kang Hyungho's "Phantom of the Opera" audition (he sings both The Phantom and Christine's parts), or Cho Mingyu's "Balada de la Trompeta".
