One of them wires must communicate with engine Ecm and then to instrument cluster for warning message. It may clear after a certain amount of drive cycles otherwise wiring/fuse issue.
@livingourdestiny90753 жыл бұрын
I was thinking something similar...I don't know about the newer GM's but the newer Dodges computer systems have whats called powernet(or something along those lines) and basically the engine computer(ECM-Engine Control Module) communicates with the other computers on the vehicle(transmission computer and body control module) and if it sees a electrical signal aka something pulling more power than it should or not pulling enough power than it will throw a code...most likely that is what the issue is and it might just go away on its own if the computer detects it enough times in a row or something and determines that is the new normal lol..but I would contact that alternator manufacture to make sure.

Normally, the sensors associated with that error message have a charging range they are preprogrammed to operate within. He got an "honorable mention "in Chromes last vid.Because he lives in a van in the harshest conditions of our great white North....Keep him out of the factory!!!

Loved the Home Depot jingle in the intro. Well done Forest, Just an idea but how about drilling a bunch of holes in your plywood platform to potentially warm your mattress up? Instead of warming below it would then be able to move up and warm that pad you sleep on. But the snorkel and re-vent may work better. Who knows? Keep experimenting. And I would suggest adding insulation under the diesel heater, insulate the floor area and side wall under the sleeping platform. Remember heat flows from a high to a low. Cheers

The old van was a lot more cozy cause your living space was confined and private. Hopefully this new van gets it own character as the build progresses. Thanks for the uploads mate.

This has inspired me to build a nice camper from a tractor supply trailer. I may not devote my life to living from it, but it makes free lodging when I do travel or take out of state hunting trips.

I swapped out my high output alternator behind a Napa store in Iowa City in Sept. on a cross country trip. I carry extra battery, alt, starter, and tools. ALWAYS! . Glad to have a van lifer DIY'er to show folks to just Giter Dun.
