Just rented and watched this film solely because the immensely talented Jessica Rothe stars in it. Turns out this was also a very well made and entertaining love story! The girl who portrayed the daughter was so charismatic! Also, a great country soundtrack!

Nice movie ..it made me cry! I don't know/read the book it was based on but for me it was beautifully made. Coz a lot of people disagree, the one's who read the book don't like the movie. So maybe just don't compare it lol

The book was a little disappointing for someone who liked the movie so much for its redemption story line. It's basically not the same characters and not the same backstory. The book is much more fixated on romance, not on finding a community. The characters felt immature and too talkative about their feelings. Not everyone can have the poetic subtlety of Jane Austen.
