im a chronic world restarter. this recent trend of starting forever worlds and talking about them inspired me to start my own and build a big story, and seeing this now makes me feel less guilty about putting the main save aside for some time to explore new ones

I loved this video so much! 🥰 You put into words the thoughts I had vaguely forming in my head about the "forever world" idea since it was popping up more and more on my yt suggested... I didn't even think about size of a file tbh, just something about having one world be a mix of such different projects didn't really sit well with me... This video was a lovely reassurance, it definitely calmed my FOMO on the matter 🤭 The narration is so pretty, too, at times I felt like I was listening to a poem... 🥹 I'm so happy I found your channel! ❤

This is exactly what I needed to see right now. I was so conflicted because I want to keep my current vanilla world, but I also really want to play around with the create mod. I was considering adding the create mod to my vanilla world, but that could create issues (needing to wait for the mod to update to change versions, the possibility that the mod could stop being updated one day, etc) but now I'll just make a seperate world for create and play both as I see fit

i have been playing on the same seed for years but on different worlds, and it just feels surreal sometimes

@artofmkd yeah, sometimes i stumble upon the exact same locations such as caves, mountains or some biome and just remember with nostalgia what i was doing months or years before.

Sometimes I do just need to punch a tree. in these days with the everything going on in the world I had found myself updating my server that ive had for 6 years running and on going. but in the process of updating it I was testing my mods in new worlds and I did find myself for just a moment turning off creative and just. punching a tree and building a really shitty night shelter. but. it was fun. and I needed something familiar and calming. thank you for this video it was wonderful

I've been hearing a lot of things that I needed to hear recently, and I must say that I'm quite happy the algorithm brought me here. In an ocean of videos declaring the beauty of forever worlds (something I myself have failed to truly do despite my love for the idea), it makes me quite happy to see this perspective. This is really who I've been the whole time, though I never really realized it due to my desire to have a forever world. It's time to accept who I am and go back to visit some of those worlds, maybe even start one or two fresh ones. Thank you for making this video!

Choice, practicality, & variety are all great reasons to have multiple “forever worlds” 🗺️ I go back to the basic premise of play the game in the way that you most enjoy 👏🏽⛏️

I think I saw somewhere, that a Minecraft world is something like 76 light years across. Theres room for everything, in one world... I mean, until you take mods into account, perhaps incompatible mods. If you want to 'start afresh' in a 'forever world' you could put all your stuff in a chest and run the spreadplayers command, and send yourself somewhere tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, of blocks away, and start punching trees again. Perhaps, one day, you'll rediscover your old home!

@@artofmkd You can run a decent size Minecraft java server in Oracle cloud completely free. 24GB RAM and 4 cores on the Ampere VM, it can have up to 100GB storage for free. Then you don't have to worry about your PC performance for running the world.

I feel like as much as the forever world is neat, it‘s also great to have multiple to stifle boredom. I need to sometimes escape into another one when i feel stuck. Sometimes i just start new to see how to do a starter in a different biome organically. We have the privilige to use infinite saves unlike other games. Using more than 1 is not that bad. I even have a creative world just to mediate by flying around and editing the environment in tiny little ways to do mindless gameplay to relax.
