Use a pressure regulator for the N2. In Romania these are delivered with 200 Bars. I would really not feed the circuit with this pressure. Regulating pressure by tapping on the valve is just insane. You are only regulating the flow, if the system is not open you can build up that pressure in the circuit....

I had several old fridges that had rusted compressor pipes and all the R12 had gone years ago. The compressors still started and ran okay. I replaced the rusted bits with brazed copper pipe. I the pressurised the system with fuel grade LPG (propane butane mix). I then let all the gas out again and did this several times. As I refilled I watched the compressor current which did not get up to the rated current on the compressor label. Ice started to form on the suction side so I bled gas off until it stopped and then a bit more. After the fridge had come down to temperature, a little ice was forming again so I bled off a bit more. Two of those fridges are still okay ten years later,.No vacuum pump, no gauges, no oil change, no capillary change, no problems, lower power use, shorter running cycle just LPG highlighted on the label. Not illegal to bleed LPG to atmosphere. Most domestic gear chucked out can be home repaired.

If you are measuring the temperature, then go closer to the object. Many sensors have a 30° opening, this means that the sensor-area is around 30cm if you have a distance of 30cm. The laser there is only good to see were is the center-point of this circle. Some sensors have a focal point of 1:12 (2.5cm point at 30cm distance) or some very good with 1:60. Many people are doing it wrong, because they think that the laser itself is the measurement-device. And the surface what you want to measure should be black. If I measure a aluminium surface of a heat-sink, then I paint the surface black with a permanent marker before the measuring. If the black area is only 1cm in diameter, then I use only a distance of 1cm.

@@forevertechenglish IR thermometers are pretty neat. The one I have uses 2 or more thermocouples to measure the temperature-one exposed to light from the outside and the other not. The temperature difference indicates how much IR light is hitting the sensor. Lenses focus the light, so there's a focal distance where the measurement area is smallest, and getting closer or farther away makes it bigger (think of a magnifying glass focusing sunlight). The manufacturer generally tells you how large the measurement area is for each device. You're measuring the 4th power mean temperature of the measurement area, so if you measure something half hot and half cold the thermometer will show a reading closer to the hotter temperature. The IR emissivity of many materials is >0.9, but certain metals are a common exception. This pretty much means that those metals with low emissivity emit a small percentage of the IR radiation an ideal black body with emissivity 1 would. Such materials often reflect IR, so you're likely to measure the temperature of the reflection and the IR mirror you think you're measuring.

DO NOT EVER DO THIS CONVERSION. OLD refrigerators Pre 1997, are Safer and more efficient than new refrigerators. Most new refrigerators are junk that only last 2-4 years. You do not use an infra red temperature sensor to measure temperature readings in a refrigerator, unless you want inaccurate readings. You must measure the air temperature of the air blown off the evaporator in the warmest part of the refrigerator, which is usually inside the door. You need a thermometer that records the highest and lowest temperatures over time, typically three full cycles of the compressor after reaching the desired temperate setting zone. I call BS. You are totally wrong. Now in my professional 35 tears of servicing refrigerators, opinion, changing from R134A to R600 is a big mistake. R600 is 7°C warmer than R134 thus it is a less efficient refrigerant. R600 is NOT Eco Friendly either. Granted it is slightly more Eco friendly than R134a. Both are Toxic to humans and the environment. R600 is Isobutane. Yes BUTANE, as in the flammable liquid in butane lighters. This is because the EPA is phasing our safer Nonflammable R134A like they have R12. (R12 Was the best most efficient refrigerant ever invented.) R12 refrigerators has a 80/20 duty cycle meaning the compressors were usually off 80% of the time. R134A Systems have a 35/65 Duty cycle. R600 Systems have a 48/52 Duty cycle. Meaning the compressors run more often and are more noisy and are much less efficient than R134A systems. Plus with a longer duty cycle they use more energy. WHO WANTS that ??? Plus the inverter boards fail at $300.00 and up. This is our government trying to protect us. STUPID. NOW I dare anyone to tell me it is a great idea to heat up and compress a flammable gas. Then put it in residential homes. What you have here is the potential for an explosion. It has happened. QUESTION: What goes "BOOM" in the middle of the night ? A R600 refrigerator! Fortunately R600 is very corrosive and it destroys the seals in the compressor, so the compressor will fail. Just ask LG, Samsung and Whirlpool. They all are having R600 Compressor failures within two years. If you need a refrigerator buy an old one. The older the better. I will NEVER put a R600, R400 or any flammable gas refrigerator in my home. I am sticking with R134.

How are you and how's the family, sir? I have a question sir, I want to change a compressor which is an R12 to R134a of the same compressor size of 1/5HP. The former technician that install the former compressor added a 1/10 condenser hereby he disconnected the inner condenser from the outside one. I am thinking sir, since R134a has a higher condensing power than an R12 would you advice if I remove the 1/10 condenser and replace it with a 1/8 or 1/6 condenser sir. It's a one-door freezer-fridge. Or I should use the condenser and add a cooler fan? Thank you sir, as I await your response.

Sorry Saw your comment today was busy. In your case, the former technician added a 1/10 condenser to compensate for the change in refrigerant. However, simply changing the condenser size may not be sufficient to ensure optimal performance. It's recommended to consult the manufacturer's guidelines or technical specifications for your specific freezer-fridge model to determine the appropriate condenser size for R134a.Removing the 1/10 condenser and replacing it with a larger condenser such as a 1/8 or 1/6 could potentially help improve the system's efficiency. However, it's crucial to ensure that the new condenser is compatible with your system and that it can be properly installed without causing any issues with airflow or space constraints.adding a cooling fan to the condenser can help improve the heat dissipation process and enhance the system's overall performance. A fan can increase the airflow across the condenser, assisting in heat transfer and maintaining lower condensing temperatures. This can be particularly beneficial when using R134a, as it operates at higher pressures and temperatures compared to R12.

Did you charge the refrigerant in liquid or gas?

Had you ever replace a constant speed compressor with an inverter one with all electrical and control circuit?

Can we fit this compressor in AC and work

I literally do the opposite here in the United States and replace r600a with 134a. I'm thinking about using r401a (yes 401 not 410) It was made as a replacement for r12 . R12 is about 30% more efficient than r134a so that should lower head pressure.

After frig compartment meets 34 degrees do a frost-line adjustment charge on all small converted critical-charge cap-tube systems needing more or less gas than data plate indicates.

Why did you change it to r600a.. Is R600a inverter compressor? I head r134a is fast cooling than R600a.... Because am planing to change my r600a compressor to r134a, compressor to my chest freezer... Pls advice

Shouldnt you purge the valve after you puncture it and before you connect it to the system? Seems like there could be some air contamination in there.

A month ago, i changed my refrigirator setting from minimum to max. After a day or two, my wife booked a last minute ticket and we went on vacation for a week, then i changed it back to minimum. After we came i check the frig and inside was a bit icy as if he stood on max settings, today its 3 weeks and its still like that. The frig is too cold how do i fix this?

Mình chỉ góp ý. Bạn sử dụng vải sợi carbon để hàn các góc dễ hơn nhé... Vải carbon sợi thủy tinh không bị cháy khi gặp nhiệt độ cao
