⚠️ I’m not happy with this ending. It’s the worst ending I could have ever imagine for Kara. I didn’t even think it was possible to be this disappointed. BUT I loved editing this video so much, and it asked me SO much time to finish it. So please don’t dislike because you’re disappointed of the ending. I am too.

Totally agree. They retconned Kara's whole story to avoid having to actually resolve anything for her character. It was awful. I never thought I would regret getting invested in her, but here we are.

Well we already saw this coming after they announced to end it after season 6 , alone the years we saw how the show crumble to dust, ever since they left lex roamed around for more than 1 seasons, the story just loose it spark , no offense lex character was amazing, especially this one played by Jon Cryer , he is by far my favorite lex ,but just so much potential story line wasted for this tsk tsk 🤦‍♂️ , but still I’m okay with how it ends , this ending was so so not bad ending of a bad story writing

@@kf_uthman237 I'm not okay with the ending, they spent so much time in the beginning of the show having Kara ask "can I have it all?" And the ending was basically, no. You can't. And they retconned everything to be about her secret identity when that was never the actual problem, it was about her inability to be both Kara Danvers and Kara Zor-El on earth. And none of this got fixed, they just handwaved it by having her "come out" which makes zero sense considering everyone else in the Arrowverse is still using secret identities for safety, and we already saw in the 100th that doing EXACTLY THIS would get everyone killed. Plus I guess happiness is still selfish for her, and she's never going to get to be Kara Zor-El again.

well.. I actually loved the ending. After everything Supergirl has been through, I think that she deserved a happy ending, with the wedding and having he courage to reveal that she's supergirl. And also My MOST favorite character: Cat Grant was in it so I honestly loved it. And your edit was really great as well.

@@deannagalvan I still don't understand how any of that was supposed to be happy, though? In the 100th coming out got everyone killed. And even if things are a little better it's still bad enough they have to reinstate the DEO. And we know from Brainy that racism and xenophobia still exists for her next 1000 years, plus the rest of the Arrowverse still has supervillains, so why should i buy that things will be okay for her? And what she's happy because she got handed a job she never said she wanted before, back in the same dynamic with cat who still bullies her and calls her the wrong name? Mostly I'm frustrated because they framed love as a selfish choice for Kara and then left it that way until the very end. What hope am I supposed to have for her that she's ever going to have it all as she's defined it for herself? It's not like being publicly Supergirl is going to make it any easier to have a normal life, in fact the opposite. I mean the last thing Kara said was "I want that kind of happiness for myself, I'm just not sure if I have it in me" and then...she didn't. It's so depressing and sexist. I mean Barry, Oliver, Clark all got to have love and partnership and their own family, but I guess Kara never will. It was all so poorly thought out, and a weird gaslighting retcon of Kara's whole story. I'm sorry but it totally sucked.

She is a huge inspiration!!!!!! She shows that even if you don't have powers, you can be a hero/heroine. But I'm still not happy with the ending bcuz she didn't get the happy ending she deserved 😞😞😞 But I wish for her to live happily after everything she lost. Who doesn't want her to have a happy ending???

The world will always need Supergirl. Just because the current threat was defeated doesn't mean there aren't still people that would want to cause harm. That's just the nature of the world. And plus, she would never leave Alex and Lena and the rest of her family. They're who she feels at home with. She would never feel at home without them. And she was just offered an amazing job where she can help people as more than just Supergirl. There'd be nothing for her in the future. She'd still feel just as alien but wouldn't have her two most important people in her life.

Look, the ending is great besides Mon-EL not staying. After everything they went through in Season 2 and 3, this is how it ends ? He was barely in it for 15 minutes. He has one nice (but very sad conversation) with Kara and says he may never return to the present. I hate that. You saw how upset she was, how she wanted him to go the wedding (they could've danced together !) but no, the writers screwed them over once again. Kara gets no love life while everyone does ! That being said, I enjoyed the finale. Thank you Melissa for bringing Kara to life on our screens. You were amazing. We love you ❤ I may just write a fanfic on archive of our own, that slighty changes how it ends for them.

Great? I mean I agree with the rest but that doesn’t make the ending ‘great’ the ending is awful. The last episode focus mostly on Kelly and Alex, (no hate I love them) but the show is about Kara! The main character should have had an happy ending, and more screen time. (This problem was through all s6 tho) But the message I see, and many other people see, is that a woman can’t have both. She has to make sacrifices and that’s just stupid. Kara had no character development during 6 seasons! At the end she’s still stuck in the idea that everyone close to her is in a happy relationship and she isn’t! Which makes her feel different, and as if she can’t have love in her life AND supergirl. I just can’t accept any of this. It’s not the message the show should convey to women.

Supergirl I loved it sure the show may have had it's ups and downs but Melissa Benoist will always be my Supergirl Kara Zor-EL live action ever. I miss Supergirl the show , the cast , the crew it will go down along with Smallville and now Superman & Lois as one of my favorite shows involving the Superman Supergirl Super Family. I love her. Kara's really inspiring. This is a fantastic tribute, and I can tell you put a lot of effort into it. The only thing is that it feels kind of weird that you didn't include her friendship with Lena. I believe she's an important character in Supergirl's story: It shows us how important it is for Kara to combat prejudice, give second chances, and how kind-hearted she is. This is not a critic, just an opinion.

It’s not just because she didn’t have romance at the end. Nothing make sense when you think about it. She reveals who she is to everyone even tho it’s so dangerous, for her, for Superman, for her family, and she fought to keep her identity in s5. So all that was for nothing? and at the end she still struggle about her identity, just like she did in s1 she doesn’t seem happy.

This isnt the ending she deserved This is how the show should have ended in my opinion: Mon el coming back because future is not reality its where he went so he wouldnt die so technically he should be here. Cause winn,brainy,imra and all the other Legionnare are there. ( I know brainy has to merge but still there are other intellects) Also i feel like Maggie was Alex's true love and the one she should've ended with. The love they had was so pure. The rest im fine with her revealing her identity although it wasnt a problem anymore cause everyone who is close to her knew but still its fine ig. Cat grant coming back was very nice. So i guess everything was fine except how they ended certain relationships and the lex thing was a little too much. Should've came up with new villains

And can you explain why A REAL fan of supergirl wouldn’t be disappointed? I loved the show sm, and I used to be a huge fan but the ending was a disappointment, and that’s my personal opinion? And many people thought the same thing and yet they still deeply loved the show. It’s not about ships, it’s about Kara. Kara’s ending. They build her during 6 season, they made her struggle with her identity, embrace who she was, and all that to reveal her identity at the end? It doesn’t make any sense we know it would put everyone in danger, including her cousin.
