In the case of virtually all of the leading online prop firms all live funded trading after eligibility tests are passed is technically simulated trading with virtual funds inside the confines of the trader’s account at the prop firm, with the prop firm being the sole counter-party to the trader. This simulated trading construct is in place for regulatory reasons. So, the trader is not trading at all in the open market with 3rd parties, but rather is playing an elaborate electronic game of sorts, entering into simulated trades with the house with all of the simulated trading happening inside of the trader’s account. Prices, spreads and commissions are all hypothetical since no real trading is going on, and the prop firm just lays off the pay-out risk to a 3rd party market maker, without needing to trade, kicking the market maker a piece of the eligibility fee stream like paying them insurance premiums…

I looked in to prop firms earlier in my career and can confirm this video is 100% accurate. I didn't sign up to one as I mostly trade NQ and some of my set ups came out of hours which props don't like and found that opening a futures account and shelving my spread account helped me grow my account at a responsible level. I still have a spreadbet account for FX swing trades that I trade with other peoples money. Great video Andrew.

Please recommend one best prop firm you would deal with now & WHY. In traders Prop Accounts is Hedging Allowed(firm names)? Some of these prop firms are a scam. For example, the ones that require you to put your own money forward, and if you lose money it comes out of 'your money'. If you lose all of 'your money', then they close your account. This is totally pointless, because it's mathematically equivalent to trading your own account at high leverage. The difference is... if you trade your own account, you keep 100% of the profit, instead of splitting it.

I prefer something else to these evaluation and verification phases. You are basically put under the gun to hit certain targets which adds a tremendous amount of pressure and in turn creates a high probability of failure. This is not how everyone should trade. If it works for you then fine, but you should create a strategy that works best for you and that makes money.

15:15 is true about MFF. They slippage us crazy and also they shave off your TP. This means if you have TP on a certain point they take you out for less. They blamed the market volatility. Horrible for scalpers

Can you initiate something like competition demo trading then. Ask those interested but don't have money then give out hard rules to pass then take them after passing. If your intention is to raise young kids traders and ambitious young traders. Do something like what Richard Dennis did before. I know for someone having skills can trade even without paying a penny. Sometime i don't get sense for a player to pay real Madrid or arsenal to show his talent and skilled of playing football. I hesitate and i doubt about this paying prop firm
