This is exactly the alligator indicator the only difference being that this strategy uses 21/13/8 EMAS instead of 13/8/5 EMAS. Entry points are exactly the fractal way of entering a trade. I usually also look at the 4H or 6H for further trend confirmation.

Interesting strategy you got there. I also rely on scalping more. Small profits but earning more frequently is better than earning slightly more pips but far and between. Trends tend to go up and down. Better to ride the trends and then go out when the trend changes direction.

Most if not all pullbacks head towards the 21EMA or the 50EMA depending on strength of trend, rarely does it ever pullback to/from the 8EMA.

The market is gonna follow the early 2021 rally and end in Crypto winter after may...just a guess tho'. Not a fan of rise and fall anymore! People think investing in Crypto is all about buying coin and leaving it to rise...come on! It takes much analysis to be a successful crypto investor. For the stop entry, will the trigger bar also count into the highest and the lowest? For example in an uptrend the trigger bar might test the 8 EMA and instantly goes up higher than the previous 5 candles highest. So market buy in this case when the candle closed or taking the high of the trigger bar + 3 pips as stop entry?

You can just subtract the spread from your take profit. Example; if your take profit is 30 pips, but your spread is 2 pips, then adjust your take profit to 28 pips to account for the spread.

9:48 is there any reason why I wouldn't enter the trade when the bar touches the 8 EMA (or a litle higher afterwards) with the stop 3 pips below, then you're gaining all the profit on the way up to the set trigger point? I'm trying to apply this strategy to stocks. How would I determine the trigger bar "- pips" for a stock? I'm having trouble determining what percent to drop below the lowest of the 5 bars because in stocks the stock price could be any number, for example $1 or could be $1500. My assumption is that I need to pick a percentage. I'm also trying to be cognizant of "the cycle of doom" and staying true to the strategy.

For example, on buy - you have (highest of the last 5 ticks + 3 pips) + covering the cost of the stop loss. Wouldn't the risk just be deficit of the stop loss trigger amount? Thank you for sharing this strategy. I use something similar and it does work. My recommendation is to stay out of the market if the moving averages are twisting about in a braid. You want clear angle and separation of the moving averages on both hourly and 5 minute time frames before entry.

A simple strategy made easy to understand by an excellent teacher - thank you for sharing and being ad-free! After some backtesting I’ve made a few observations: 1. It’s worth using the “eyeball” approach to spot some pullbacks that don’t quite touch the 8ema. In some circumstances I found using the 7ema to locate trigger bars works better. 2. The addition of 3 pips sometimes extends the “take profit” beyond a trend reversal. Whereas adding less (e.g. 1 pip) would’ve resulted in a take profit. I’d suggest trial and error depending on risk appetite. 3. Works equally well on stocks. Rather than adding 3 pips, I added 30cents to the “trigger bar” and “last 5 candle”.

Hi great video by the way. Just wondering you said at any point in the trend in a candle closes about the 2 ema’s on the hourly it counts a no trade which i understand. If you then scaled down to the 5min and it was choppy and price had crossed up and down past the 3 Ema’s a few times woukd that also be a no trade ? or would you just wait for a pin bar and trade?

Maybe the 8 and 21 period MA's have a statistical edge but there's certainly far better strategies. A better idea is to spend time learning to read and understand top down price action, order flow, liquidity areas, supply demand etc.

@@slavomirdurej2804 The only edge you have is yourself. Of course the basics help. Standard technical analysis, supply / demand, price action, multiple timeframes, news output, risk management. It's all about making it personal to you and not copying some system based on static rules. The market is a living and breathing animal that it's hard to wrap rules around.
