The implication that Varian died a hero on the Broken Shore then found himself in Heroes of the Storm (somewhat like Valhalla) where he will continue to be a hero is great. His theme was tied in beautifully and the similarities to his fight with the Legion are perfect.

I used to dream up heroes from Azeroth for DotA1 such as Thrall and Varian, I never thought that Heroes of the Storm would bring them to life in such a brilliant way!

This is a brand new model. They don't just cut and paste models from Blizzard games into Heroes of the Storm, that's not how they work. As discussed today at BlizzCon, they heavily used Varian's HD Legion cinematic model as reference material. I'm just curious, how exactly does this reflect MoP Varian, rather than Legion Varian?

His model is the same younger / less war torn look as he had in MoP. And if you believe everything at BlizzCon your going to on occasionally be let down

Robert Leiper Heroes of the Storm has a far more cartoonish art style than World of Warcraft, which is why his model looks younger than his World of Warcraft: Legion model. I get your point about how trustworthy Blizzard can be when it comes to BlizzCon, but there is absolutely no reason to not believe them when they say they used Varian's HD Legion cinematic model as reference material. That's exactly what they would have had to do. When making a model, they need as much reference material as possible to create the best model possible, and it would make complete sense to make use of a recent HD cinematic model. That doesn't mean to say that was their only reference material, because they would have had plenty more, and in fact, they showed other images they used as reference material.

When purchasing the virtual ticket, I was under the impression that I would get the full Blizzcon experience, including streaming access to each of the panels, including panels hosted by the game designers, voice actors and artists. Moreso, the sales page is badly misleading to this effect. Especially note this and this, both screenshots from the page. "You’ll get comprehensive coverage," "The Virtual Ticket is the only way to access all of the developer panels at BlizzCon from home," the sales page says. That isn't true at all, there are a number of panels that aren't streamed, some of which are specifically by developers. The support team has made it clear that I'm not entitled to any sort of refund or reimbursement, but please, look at the advertising copy. You can see how I was mislead, and you can see why I feel deceived. Thanks for reading.
