The implication that Varian died a hero on the Broken Shore then found himself in Heroes of the Storm (somewhat like Valhalla) where he will continue to be a hero is great. His theme was tied in beautifully and the similarities to his fight with the Legion are perfect.

most of the blizzcon news was a little underwhelming so far, but I think this hero trailer made up for most of it by itself. Although Blizzard appears to favor the horde as a faction, I think they enjoy the Alliance characters more, a much larger deal was made of Varians death than Vol'jins.

He wouldn't know who Varian is or what he is talking about, BECAUSE HE IS THE MU GUL'DAN! MINDFUCK! This actually may be true considering that he recognized Uther when he saw him and Uther was long "dead" before Alternate Gul'dan could ever get the chance to meet him.
