Next time, make a mold and use spray tak on the mold to hold chopped carbon in place. After that, use 2 to 3 layers of 2x2 twil sheets "dry". Vacuum bag the part infusing resin. Part will come out much better and stronger

FYI the part you did turned out good. Just do forged carbon parts the correct way.

Wear a mask when you're sanding carbon, that stuff is not nice to your lungs
