Forget interlocking fans and get single frame instead NZXT F360 RGB Core

Prawn here with a detailed wiring and setup guide on the NZXT F series RGB core fans, in this instance the F360 single frame fans, but the logic is the same on the F240, F280 and F360 fans.
Here I'm showing you how to connect these fans directly to your motherboard but also how to use RGB fan controllers so you can use your fave software or NZXT's CAM software.

Though an old & already implemented idea by non-mainstream companies - it has some drawbacks. Main one is if the LEDs in one of this stop working as expected (completely dead or stuck) and now you have to buy a full replacement instead of 1/2 fans in a 3-fans set. As long as you are within warranty period, it is safe. But after 2 years (standard warranty by most big manufacturers), you are paying out of your pocket. On the other hand - the cost of a 3fans single frame is overall cheap (compared to some 3sets combos)....so it may be okay for a lot of people to replace them every 2-3 years (in case of being unlucky and depending on warranties).

@qqx135 Thanks for providing literally the same, nuance lacking answer @TheProvokedPrawn gave. 5 years isn't forever, and that seems like a lot of e-waste for single fan failure. It would seem more cost-effective for them to make the unit user serviceable so a single fan could be replaced if necessary.
